Anyone confirmed whether the encore is towable? Appears it would be good dinghy if it can be towed four down. Came out after the 2013 towing guide was released.

I saw the Encore at a Sacramento Car Show last October. The spokesperson said it was towable, four down. However, to be sure, read the owner's manual. I would never trust a spokesperson at a sales event, nor a salesman.

I stopped by a buick dealer today and read the manual myself. Not towable. I wish it was because it is a fine little SUV. I would trade my Honda CRV in a minute.

That spokesperson was WRONG! (Surprise surprise!)
The Encore is not designed to be towed four-down and the AWD cannot be towed on a dolly.
Here is the Owner Manual. The info you need is in Section 10-64.

a good lesson here. always check the owners manual on this. don't follow a salesman or other third party's advice IMHO.

Good catch kaydeejay. When I saw an ad for the Encore I really liked it and liked the weight as a dingy. You saved me a lot of research.

No, wanted to see the car in person. Pictures can make anything look good.

Fair enough. It is a nice vehicle, but not as a toad!

Just curious - were you going to the dealer anyway?
The link I provided above IS the manual and would have saved you a trip if that is all you went for.

what would be the best dolly to use considering it's size and 18 inch wheels?
