RE: Drier sheets, magic Eraser and glass

What are you trying to clean with dryer sheets? There might be something better... Bugs! off windshield and front cap. Works great! Do you wet the dryer sheets or use as is?

RE: Tire Balance

Never balanced a tire on 14-15 flatdeck trailers....three Stock trailers....four cargo trailer....one TT.....three 5th wheel rv trailers.....for several reasons that I and others have posted a dozen times on this website. I'm happy...my tires and trailers are happy. I get 40k-55k miles a set. Tires wear even across the tread with no cupping. What is your reasons for not balancing?

RE: ALBERTA PARKS NOW OPENING

but the provincial boundaries may not be open to non essential travel either. no provincial boarder has been closed, there may have been a few check spots asking you to think about if your travel is really necessary, but they cant legally stop a Canadian from going say from BC to Alberta or the other way. if I decide it is necessary for me to visit my parents in the next province then it is. Steve Yhea no provincial closure at all, may long in sicamous was nothing but alberta plates, and the BC companies trying to survive there had no problem with that at all. Still crazy we can all ram into a grocery store or costco yet so many campgrounds and parks still closed, freaking stupid. Especially if you have your own rv with own shower and toilet.

RE: Best way clean 5th wheel

So a lot of my 5th wheel especially around edges with the puddy stuff is and silicone have a lot of black streaks on them. The front cap has so many dead bugs and dirt. I have tried bug be gone and other stuff but it doesn't really work well. What does every body use that actually does work really well? Thanks Try some RejeX on the front cap, makes getting those bugs off pretty easy, also a great wax to use anywhere. Thanks il see if i can find some locally here

RE: Best way clean 5th wheel

I like the dryer sheets idea, prob here in Canada you americans have so much access to so many products we dont have up here. Also i have to take this to the car wash and luck if you a minute here for a dollar so i'm going to try and scrub and pre soak as much as i can before it goes to the sprayers.

RE: Hard side 5th wheel leak

I don't see any gutter extensions. you might want to replace or add them. They are easily removed by trees. Yes trees have removed them many of times, i guess even if i put them on for the long park for winter would help

RE: Hard side 5th wheel leak

Be sure to find out where the leak is coming from. Seal it then put eternabond tape over it. Then seal the edges of the eternabond. I hope can find where it is!! And yes i have a 3/4 roll of eternabond. I was going to put the tape down the fill the metal trim piece with non self leveling deco(what ever its called) screw the trim on and the caulk should go over the edge of eternabond and squeeze out the sides of the metal trim and i will then make it smooth along the metal trim edge to seal the sides of it.

RE: Hard side 5th wheel leak

Under the "bulbed" rubber there are screws to remove the transition piece where the old caulk needs to be replaced. It takes time and patience to do it. Remove the rubber covering the screws. Remove the screws. Use a dull putty knife to pry the metal off. Use the putty knife to remove as much old caulk as possible. Apply new Dicor non-leveling caulk. Replace the metal piece/screws/ rubber "bulb. You may even want to order new rubber. It gets pretty stiff over the years. Hopefully you have minimal damage to the wood inside the walls. Thanks , should water be allowed to drain under that rubber piece all the way down the trailer and come out the bottom? Damage aint that bad, i fixed the other side same thing happened, but it was so long ago i can't remember what i did with it lol my memory is going.

Hard side 5th wheel leak

My 99 Travelaire 5th wheel has split a part on the back left side of the trailer. As you see with the pictureS BELOW , where should water drain? Should it even be going under the plastic molding that cover the screws right on the back edge of the trailer where the side and back meet? What about at the top of the trailer should the water only drain off the metal horizontal drip rail straight to the ground or meant to run under that plastic cover for the screws?

RE: 5th wheel tires

I am replacing mine this year, my axle is slightly off as it burned 2 of the tires off, but i did take 7 years for it to happen. Called our largest axle place here and to re align it its the cost of a new axle. I am not going to bother fixing it. The way it wears the tires down, by the time they are worn down its time to replace the tires anyways.

RE: 5th wheel tires

My 5th is similar weight and my research came up with Carlisle or GY Endurance. Weight wise check your rims and if they are good for 80psi you should be good with E rated at about 2800# each. Mine stock came with D rated 2580 each stock which is cutting it a bit close IMO. The E rated also have a higher speed rating which was nice. Not that I really go over 65 but it's nice to know I'm not right up against the rating. How do you know how much weight your rim can carry so i know if i can upgrade my 15" rim to E load?
