Door lock not working with either FOB

2019 Allegro RED 37BA. Entry door stopped working with both fobs. It started working again for about 24 hours then stopped again. Before I tear into it, is there a battery inside or is it hardwired? I could not see any wires from a cursory look. 12v is working.

RE: rv fridge

machunt, What RV do you have? This is critical to having a targeted discussion with you. Your issue should not be what to do while in storage. You can turn off the 12v and the inverter, so no additional draw on the batts. You can also unplug an RR fridge and like an RV fridge, leave the door open.

RE: rv fridge

I would add one thing to what the Fisherman said. Check the plugs by your current fridge to see if there is an inverted socket. Should be one but not all RV are created equal. An RR actually cools down just like the house fridge, as that is what it is. Much, much faster and constant than a standard RV fridge.

RE: 50 > 30 > 20 amp

I would use dog bones. I would not use the hockey puck style 30 - 20 amp, as they promote more heat in a very small area.

RE: What Chassis do I have

Tony, there is really nothing special about an OEM converter, Ford doesn't build them anyway, they are provided by one of their vendors. I think the major concern is one sized large enough for your 8-cylinder engine and fits in the space of the original. I don't follow. What has a converter to do with the engine and what does the engine have to do with a converter?

RE: Multiple Buyers. Who gets the RV?

First with green wins, every time. Get the second folks cell and call them if it sells. They can turn around. This is a Jack AZZ move. If YOU say to someone that you will wait for them after you speak to them and there is an agreed upon time to meet and you sell it out from under them that is Chicken ShnitZ. But that's not what the OP suggested. Actually it is Copied from original post We have another buyer who contacted us over a week ago when we were out of town. We told him when we get back we'll contact him and he plans on coming tomorrow. He lives about 4 hours away. So, yes, he made contact and the individual said he would come tomorrow. I think it's safe to assume this was agreed to by the OP. MikeWhere is the promise?

RE: Freezing Temperatures

I would not leave drains open. Your propane heater, probably the rear heater, should keep the wetbay warm. Space heaters and heat pumps do not heat the wetbay.

RE: Generator exhaust extension

As others have indicated, in an RV, pushing the exhaust up is more "desired" than out. Out, often, pushes the deadly problem to others. Up let's it continue to rise and dissipate. If you do a search, you can find of how some made their own version of the Gen-Turi.

RE: Combining black & grey tanks

NOT so much having to “pull” two handles, BUT to NOT have the grey tank filled up so fast that I have to dump more often; I can add dish water & “run off” shower water, but that also runs the risk of the water sloshing into the composting/ solid waste side. You have me confused. What I read is that you now have three chambers. The composting toilet has one. The composting urine bypass runs to the second/black tank and grey water runs into the third/grey tank. Does the urine bypass have a check valve to prevent back flow from the black tank? Does your MH have a combined exit valve like this? If so, others above have explained simple method of adding the Valterra (one brand) gate valve (like below) to combine and control the dump.

RE: How to turn off interior lights while driving

I'd suggest asking a few neighbors in the RV park you are staying in. RVer's are friendly people and we were all new to this at one time. Tell your neighbor you are new and ask if they could help you. This is an awesome suggestion!

King Bed Head Lift

We have a 2019 Tiffin Allegro RED 37BA with a King size bed. We would like to replace the mattress with ability for the head to raise electrically. No manual up and down on this. Also would like each side to raise independently, so we can adjust it to individual likes. Any suggestions?

RE: Generator to run three RV's?

A separate genny for each also makes sense so that independent trips could also be taken and the genny's would then be portable for that purpose.

I finally gave up on the Dometic and installed a new Samsung RF18 on Friday. We really liked our RF18. I bet you do. also.

RE: lithium question

No. Just any charger could cause damage. You need to see the mfgr recommendations. Most require a charger that can be set to charge no higher than 14.4.

RE: LiFePo battery upgrade question

Depending on the alternator output, the answer is yes. For high output alternators you need a DC - DC convertor or a Victron Cyrix-li-ct.
