RE: Hulu, or something similar?

. Also, Hulu is really poor at keeping up with streaming. Picture freezes all the time. This is with a very high internet connection in our house and is a known issue with the service. Just google Hulu quality. My internet is only 6mps and never have that problem. To the OP: I would not take back DTV even if it was free. However, in your situation I think DirecTV is what I would do.

RE: Smart TV

That's exactly what we did. We got rid of satellite and signed up for HULU+ to get all the channels we normally watch at 1/3 the cost of Dish. For the 'not-so-smart' flat screen tv's we got Roku adapters for under $50 to make them smart. Exactly what I did and would not go back to Directv even if it was free. Wifi does not need to be in same room.

RE: Times Up, Told You So, DirecTV is Dead

Satellite is no going away until cell service is a little more available. For your sake, I hope you're right. But satellite doesn't care if you have cell service or not.

RE: 30 foot run of sewer hose--downhill?

Looks like my closest dump location (into a sewer cleanout) at home is going to be about 30 feet horizontally and about 4-5 feet (luckily) downhill from the RV. You may wish to research septic systems, mostly about pitch of the run. Too steep will leave solids behind. Probably 2 or 3 half tank flushes would help.

RE: Times Up, Told You So, DirecTV is Dead

Cut my bill to less than half of Direct TV and see everything I want. Direct TV is something like a drug, many people addicted to certain programs at certain times. Didn't think that the internet here was fast enough in the country but was enough for streaming. It will support 2 tvs, no problem. I would not go back to Direct TV even if was free. Timmac might be a bit overboard but how many horse and buggies did you pass on your way to work? Try to find a pay phone lately? Buy a car or truck without air bags lately? Scan your own purchases at Lowes or Walmart? Check out persons will be obsolete some day. When was the last LP record you bought? Satellite TV will be gone someday. Question is when.

RE: First barrage with the dealer

I'd use the internet to find a couple other dealers with the same model, email them with a nice low out-the-door offer you'd be willing to pay them, and see what responses you get back. What they say will tell you how good or bad a price this first dealer is offering, relative to competition. This is the only way to get an idea what that trailer is selling for. Doesn't matter what profit he says they're making(you believe him?) and I have never worried about what someones profit is whether cars or trailers. I get the best price I can get "out the door". Let them fill in the blanks however they want.

RE: OTR Indoor Antenna

$39 for antennae & rotor. $25 for 2 10ft chain link line rail. Bag of cement. 22 channels but don't watch any of them. Went with Hulu live for less than half of DTV. Try it for 7 days free.

RE: Duramax won't prime.

Thanks for all the replies and thoughts. I gave up working on vehicles years ago but did drop fender well to tighten fuel filter. Moved very little and with a mirror to see back of filter, the o ring did not seem to be protruding. Was towed to shop where owner says probably will be end of week to get to it. Said as the trucks get on in years that they can develop pinprick holes which of course destroys vacuum. Possibility of installing electric pump. Will find out by end of week. Thanks again.

RE: Pick up tool Box extra fuel tank

I have a 40 gallon transfer flow with tool box and a Sidewinder pinbox. Cost is long forgotten and enjoyment still continues. Replacement tanks with installation can be quite expensive.

RE: Duramax won't prime.

You could check by releasing the bleeder screw and pumping like you're priming a new filter - if fuel squirts out right away you know you have fuel that far Yes, that what I mean won't prime, cannot get fuel to squirt out. Ran fine when I shut it off a week ago.

Duramax won't prime.

2008 Duramax Went to start truck, took a second or two longer than usual and only ran for a couple of seconds. Will not prime. Fuel filter changed about 2 months ago but only about 100 miles since then. Coincidence?

RE: Interesting way to tow a 5er

Looks like no squat on tires or suspension. Wonder why the don't show the landing gear that's down? :)

RE: In bed diesel tanks

40gal/toolbox from TransferFlo. Pricey but money is soon forgotten after 1 trip. Stopping when and where you want makes traveling much more fun, especially when travelling with dogs.

RE: School me on waste totes

I took the wheels off of a 30 gallon Barker and used a Flojet to pump up to the bed. Hate the Blue thunder.

RE: fifth wheel backing trouble

You can see it on Google Maps (satellite view). Just look for 1249 Dewing Ln, Walnut Creek, CA and zoom in. WOW!!!! I would never get that in there. BIG HUEY might be what you need!

When I got that message on my 2008, it got replaced under warranty.

RE: Plugged in or Trickle Charger

Sounds like a 30 amp outlet would be fine, then. However, I only have a 20 amp outlet currently available, and have to use two cords to reach it. Based on Beaker's post, that might not be a great idea? Was parked at house, sleeping in house, thought I smelled electrical fire but didn't see anything. A couple of days later, was around the back side of trailer where it was plugged into extension cord with adapter and saw a black mark up the trailer where it was plugged in. Adapter was melted. Was washing the present trailer and got a tingle when washing the bumper. Measured voltage bumper to ground(wet concrete) and got 10 volts. Replaced adapter and voltage disappeared. Maybe cheap adapters, maybe not, maybe the cord. No longer is it plugged into house except when in use. I do put a battery charger on it now and then.

RE: Plugged in or Trickle Charger

Be careful if leaving it plugged in and using 30 to 20 amp adapter. A couple of bad experiences will not have me doing it anymore.
