RE: Tonneau Cover

when I bought my tacoma I got the three piece folding cover. works great. I am sure there are generic versions that will fit your truck. and anything that I don't want to get wet I put in plastic totes. bumpy

RE: suggestion for cargo floor liner

those 1 ft square floor mats that lock together like a jig saw puzzle and look to be about 1/2 inch??? thick would be easy to install. bumpy

RE: suggestion for cargo floor liner

try a farm and home type of store that has rubberized mats, etc. but nothing short of tying stuff down under netting etc. will be sufficient, IMHO bumpy

RE: Over filling

you overfilled the tank and it spilled out. seems routine to me. did it somehow get switched to tank fill by mistake? bumpy

RE: Do you do this in the US?

I've seen more of this in europe, Italy & Swis than here. looks sort of like for a longer stay required to warrant the work. bumpy

RE: DC Conversion and Amp Hours for CPAP

in addition to shutting off/down the humidifier, don't use a heated hose. since this is a bipap not a cpap I "assume" it uses more electricity ????????? bumpy

RE: Maiden Voyage Blues

sorry for your issues. that is why I recommend that folks spend the first night or so in a new unit close to the dealer. your problems show a need for a bit of driving around also. bumpy

RE: roof replace or coat?

instead of fiberglass cost etc you would be better to put that money with your current unit on a few year upgrade, but I would think FG would be impossible. is it TPO or rubber? if the material is solid, not cut up or torn etc. coating might work. good luck bumpy

RE: Black Eye

IN every field there are rump holes and there are good guys. If I was driving "Carefully" (And below the limit) and started to see I had a "Following" I'd find a wide spot on the shoulder and pull off and let 'em pass. no way in he!! would I pull onto the shoulder to let somebody pass. I ran into that happening a bunch in Texas. bumpy

RE: Ruined manual transmissions

Why don't you explain the reason for this question? Information I get this nagging feeling that you are planning on 4 down towing a vehicle not "approved" for this use and if nobody comes on here saying that they towed their 1958 hupmobile 4 down and it blew up, take that as making it OK to do so. but then you won't say what/why you want this information anyway. bumpy

RE: Ruined manual transmissions

in addition to "ruined", you should include reducing the life expectancy of the transmission which may not show up and be experienced until the vehicle goes thru several different owners. bumpy

RE: 400 mile electric RV

do all of these emission comparisons for the vehicles include the fact that xx% of the electric production needed to charge/run them will be from fossil fuels? bumpy

RE: "Use Both Lanes Until Merge Point"

I like what the OTR drivers do and drive beside another OTR rig shutting down discourteous drivers who like to ignore merge now signs and hogg in. yep bumpy

RE: Scary moment towing my 5er around Denver last week

https://i.imgur.com/hDTAgbgl.jpg Thats a strange looking tag, looks like they were confused or brake checking you. looks to me like a temporary tag. I bet that could be made legible if desired. bumpy

RE: Scary moment towing my 5er around Denver last week

I do think we should demand tighter controls on who gets and keeps a drivers license. yep, that's what we need allright. more govt. red tape and regulations. :S bumpy Ya , that would be crappy saving life’s :R please summarize exactly what controls you would impose that would have prevented this incident. If a patrol man/sheriff, etc. would have seen this occur I would assume the driver would be cited for reckless driving. but again, how do you test for stupidity? bumpy

RE: CBC radio

I mounted one on the side above the drivers window, sold it with the MH. There are groundless antennas that use the coax for the ground, limites the range more than the already limited range. Not much chatter on CB these days, replaced by cells and ham radio. Questionable value these days IMHO. To talk with truckers to get info on accidents/road conditions/ detours use channel 17 on the west coast or 19 in other states. You will get info on conditions approx. 1 mile ahead and behind your location. Cell with mapping app does that even better. On freeways, 1 mile is often too late to do anything. A mapping app will typically look at your entire route every minute or so and update as needed. my mapping app sucks. showed all kinds of red warnings for a section of road ahead. yes there were jersey walls along a section but nothing to react to. but we must worship our smart phones. bumpy
