RE: 2021 GMC factory towing camera?

I think I would freak out if I looked at the display and did not see my trailer...lol. Glad to hear your install went well.

RE: Batteries not holding charge ???

When you store the trailer, are you plugged into shore power? If not, I think 2 months or less may not be too bad since there are parasitic draws on the system, even if the battery disconnect is switched to off. The CO/LP monitor comes to mind. If there is no power hooked up to them, try disconnecting the batteries and see what happens. Mine is stored hooked up to power so my advice may not be that helpful because I cannot recall how long my batteries have held a charge when not plugged in. Its been years since I was in that situation.

RE: Holding tanks

Just because there is a switch, does not mean there is another tank. My non existent 2nd galley tank shows empty when I use the buttons.

RE: Best stabilization upgrade(s)?

I cannot remember the brand but I had a cheaper version of the JT Strongarms on2 of my trailers. I actually would put 2 on each stabilizer (90 degrees to each other) and they worked great. They were BAL 23216. I just looked them up.

RE: Thought I killed my on board generator!

Glad it worked out OK. I would have had that "what did I do?" thought running in my head too.

RE: Fifth wheel Hitch troubleshooting

I have a different hitch but have the same issue if I have the nose of the trailer too high. I walk that fine line of having it low enough that the kingpin slides up the hitch without it feeling like I am jamming the hitch onto the kingpin causing the trailer getting knocked around a bit. (that is an over simplified explanation). I know I am not hitting it hard or anything, it just feels wrong to have it jar the trailer.
I also think you may want to try to check the lubrication. Could be a combination of both things---too high and too dry. Let us know your outcome.
