RE: Winnebago buys Newmar

I gave up a Winnebago Vectra/F-53, and special ordered a Dutch Star/Spartan. (The F-53 chassis was a disappointment) And, got cheated out of the all-fiberglass roof that I ordered on my Dutch Star. I would welcome a Country Coach made by Winnebago.

RE: Are other drivers killing your RV experience?

Nope. I profile them and keep going with my enjoyment of driving. I already know most of them are substandard drivers.

RE: Nascar Follies

How are they going to manage all that dirt? And how is it going to stay on those high banks? * A dirt track over banked asphalt, for racing 3,000-lb cars? I'm not sure they can make that work. They might end up with a mess in the pits and on the track.

RE: Nascar Follies

Congratulations to Gene Haas, Tony Stewart, FORD, Rodney Childers, and their engineers PLUS rep Kevin Harvick. IMO this is the best team, and they deserve the Championship.

RE: Is anyone doing anything fun lately?

My whole life has been about having fun,...BIG time. And now, it's time to catch up on things left undone. We're doing everything recommended by scientists, in order to protect ourselves against the virus.

RE: Nascar Follies

* It was Ryan Newman that said it, not me. I actually gave Reddick some credit. What I said was that Reddick went up there thinking he could hold Rowdy's candle...:B

RE: Nascar Follies

Anybody watch that fiasco last night from Daytona? * I saw the fiasco part. 205 mph racing on big high-bank tracks is kinda predictable.

RE: Nascar Follies

"rookie" is just a word. A good driver is still a good driver,.....who was lucky enough to end up in a winning car.

RE: Nascar Follies

Yes Cloud it was a long time coming. Ran the the Ford Blue Oval on the hood but had a Chev under the hood. And of course Bobby Davis Jr. in the Casy Luna Ford, the Outlaw champion in 1989. Also, one of the all time winning sprint cars on the tough Central Penna. circuit, Bud Grimm's Woodpecker Special powered by Ford. This car sits in the Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Iowa. * This means you saw Schatz going for the $25K at Lernerville, in one of the best races I've seen,...truly amazing.

RE: Nascar Follies

Did you know that Tony Stewart also has Ford engines in his World of Outlaw Sprint cars?

RE: Nascar Follies

What I mean is that it's obvious to me that on the HIGH speed racetracks where it's easier to see which engines produce the highest power, the FORD engines appear to have superior power.

RE: Truck flooded

If the cost of fixing it is over 65% of the value, they can legally total it. The rules favor THEM,....IMO

RE: Nascar Follies

Right now what I'm seeing is a rule which limits the engine horsepower. Does NASCAR actually have a practical way of enforcing this rule?

RE: What's changed about camping?

In the 50's I joined the Boy Scouts and became a camper. I evolved into being a RVer. It's a long story.

RE: 7.5 Onan Diesel Generator

It could very well be mineral deposits inside the cooling tubes of the radiator. That's what it was on mine (same model of generator on my 2003 Dutch Star). I removed the radiator and took it to a radiator shop for a complete cleaning procedure. The problem never came back.

RE: More water needed....

Even if you succeed in finding a suitable method of transporting the water you need, you still need to find a legal way of getting rid of it. Aren't you supposed to have grey water and black water capacity equal to the potable water capacity?
