RE: Biltmore

I remember two things about our tour of Biltmore: leather coverings on the walls and electric lights installed in 1895!

RE: Suggestions for rest of Florida trip in Feb

If you are in no hurry check out Tamiami Trail, Route 41, at the south end of Florida. Halfway across is some kind of an alligator sanctuary where you get your fill of them; rather up close but safe.
Here is one website that has the things to see/do on Route 41: https://withnorwegianeyes.com/17-attractions-along-tamiami-trail/

RE: Trailer too long for truck?

I think this topic has been discussed before and it is my uneducated opinion that the length of the trailer has no affect on the tow vehicle if the total weight and tongue load are within the trucks capability. However, there might be other reasons to avoid an extra long trailer such as getting into and out of a fuel station, maneuvering around campgrounds tight turns, etc.

RE: Disney World 12/21

Just put Orlando in the search box in the RV Parks section for more info.

RE: Oil rubbed bronze Handheld Showerhead

Many showerheads have a restrictor built in that controls the water flow to a government accepted rate. It looks like a washer with a small hole in it. If you can find that restrictor maybe there is a way to duplicate it with a smaller hole.

RE: Giving it up

At some point we all have to give it up. We only hope it is on our terms rather than a decision forced on us. Best of luck to you.

RE: What is the best safe for a TC?

We have an embedded wall safe on the back wall of a closet in our stick house. Doesn't take up any space and is relatively safe in that lots of damage would have to be done to get it out of the wall taking up too much time for an amateur. Nothing one can do to keep out a pro.

RE: Arctic package black tank valve not shutting

I guess it depends on what the problem is. If it is in the cabling an electric valve might work better. If it is the valve itself replacing it with electric or another manual or cleaning up the existing might or might not solve the problem.

RE: Updating shower

So a Google search for `shower stall paint' for suggestions.

RE: Arizona Hwy 89 ALT info please

Rule 13 if there is any doubt about the route don't take it. One cannot turn around halfway if you don't like it :-(
Being a coward I don't drive on anything that states SCENIC on the map.

Streets of Dreams

We have recorded the first show but have not seen it as yet. How come there is no mention of it on this Forum? If you have seen any of the shows care to comment?
It's `Streets of Dreams' not `Street of Dreams'.
I have now watched two programs; one on the diamond business on one block of New York City and one on Nashville music and liked both.
I know ML bashing is popular on this Forum but this is the side of ML that you probably haven't seen. We know him as the know-it-all on The Profit but in this series ML knows nothing about the subject and actually listens to the experts. Think of that: ML actually listening and not trying to correct the speaker!
I recommend it.

RE: Durability of Command strip hooks and hangers?

I'm thinking that the weight limits on the Command Strips are for an item hanging on a wall that doesn't bounce up and down on the open road which adds an inertia load.

RE: Quarantine for Florida trip?

This is from a Google search: "Currently, (12/29/20) the state of Florida has no travel restrictions in place. The Florida Department of Health has issued a public health advisory, as follows: Residents and visitors are advised to wear face coverings if social distancing is not possible. Refrain from gatherings of more than 10 people."
If you care about such things, to date there have been more than 1.28 million cases of the virus with 21K+ deaths.

What about CLR on a rag? An internet search has some ideas including Oxyclean.

RE: RV lighting

There are more and more of the stickon led lights for under cabinet lighting (battery operated or plugin). Sounds like dimmable fixtures would be better for DW.

RE: Greasing the hitch

I use several layers of wax paper on the ball. No grease on pants or other things but lube everything else with a high pressure grease (red) that is used with a grease gun. One tube will last a lifetime.
