RE: Water Heater Help

The problem is not air in the lines! The OP has states it has run multiple times for 3+ minutes before shutting off. Everything points to a bad control board.

RE: Leaving breakers in the camper on while away?

To the OP: hatever you do at your stick and bricks house when you leave it you should do with your camper. What is the difference?

RE: Noisy Refrigerator

I think in the gas absorption refrigerator, there really isn't any moving parts, so not likely a problem with the refrigerator itself. I bet there is a fan making that noise!

RE: Has anyone owned a 2009 Ford Majestic Campervan?

The Majestic brand is a converted rental from Cruise America's rental fleet.

RE: ISO Owners Manual

Owner’s manuals are mostly generic for all the models. I have the manual for our camper and it’s pretty useless. Go through the camper, write down all of the appliances model numbers, go online and download the manuals. Put them all in a notebook along with any manual from stuff you buy. I ended up using a really big one. This is very good advice!

RE: Toll roads or not

I remember traveling on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in my Class B. The road was obviously designed for traffic conditons in the 1950's, and the toll was outrageous. They even charged extra because my converted van was a high top! I have traveled the Florida Turnpike instead of I95- little difference except I95 is free!!! I rather enjoy traveling the back roads and going through the towns.

RE: Lp stove not percolating coffee

Perhaps you have the flame too high. The hottest part of the flame is the blue tip. If the flame is bathing the sides of the coffee pot, then it is not hot enough at the base of the fire to boil water, and most of the heat is escaping up along the side of the pot. It may seem counter intuitive, but down the flame to a low setting and your coffee pot will percolate.

RE: Onan Generator Hunts Under Load

Since it apparently runs good when connected the external fuel supply, I would look towards the on board fuel source. Perhaps stale gas, even though you added new gas that may not be enough. Maybe a fuel pressure issue with the on board supple. I think the intank pump serves both the generator and the vehicle, and if I am correct, perhaps it is weak.

RE: Basic questions about Class B's

MY Class B has 34 gallons fresh water! What make and model Class B do you have? I don't see it in your profile. 2012 Airstream Avenue Suite

RE: Out of state license and storage.

Vehicles are generally titled and registered in the state where they're garaged. As an attorney, I can tell you this is an incorrect statement. Vehicles are titled where the owner maintains a legal residence. To the OP: state laws differ, but generally you are required to register your vehicle in your state of legal residence. Some states are very aggressive about their residents avoiding taxes by registering vehicles in another state. Even those sham LLC Montana companies that some people use to register vehicles have failed other states "smell test." I think Montana is very loose about vehicle registrations, hence those LLC's. Since the RV will never be in California, and if you use a Montana address to associate that vehicle to without a mention of California, you will be fine. The chance of California discoverng you own that vehicle is virtually none. Of course if they do, as Ricky told Lucy, you got some splaining to do.

RE: Insurance question

RV insurance is not for covering wear/tear or poor workmanship. It is for accidents or events such as hail, fire, lightning, theft, collision, etc. And wind damage. Insurance will pay if the siding blew off due to the wind while under tow. Typically its called comprehensive insurance. It should not pay if the failure was caused by a leak or poor construction. Typically, the policy states the loss is caused by a sudden and unexpected fire, hail, wind, or water flood event or an act of God. A rook leak is not sudden but rather a slow process of damage so that is why it is not covered.

RE: Traveling substitute teacher in retirement?

Certification, back ground checks, submission of fingerprints, and the reluctance of a school system to hire someone who is transient living in a RV will be significant obstacles.

RE: Predator 2000 Inverter Generator

Has everything you want and need: EDIT: Fixed link. This is exactly what I would buy IF I could deal with its weight. Champion has a proven reputation and offers service and parts. Three things that Predator can't offer.

RE: how much is too little to spend on a used Class B?

When will you read the forum rules and not triple post? When will you read what the OP posted and realize he did not double post? He asked very specific DIFFERENT questions exactly applicable to the specific forum. To the OP, sorry about his post. There are some old grouches in these forums. Just ignore them.
