RE: Gluten Free Pizza Ideas

We make our own pizza ..... using large tortillas. Since we prefer the creamy white base, we use ranch salad dressing. Plenty of toppings choices. All these products are readily available Gluten free.

RE: FLEXIBLE FRESH WATER HOSE

Can't get any better than this one. Can't kink, ultra light, more flexible than you can imagine....stores in a compact wad if you dont wind it up in a loop....and I swear it is self draining. Don't be cheap and turn away from this one. ... just look at its ratings....

RE: Calling on Solar Techies

I see lots of issues, given your stated usage. Did you know small electric heaters draw up around 1600 Watts? Your Microwave oven also around 1500 Watts. Standard coffee pots - around 1200 Watts. .... are you begin ing to see the issue? You'll need at least a 2000 Watt inverter, and yes, pure sine wave would probably be best......and that is if you only run one major appliance at a time. A 1500 Watt electric heater through an inverter may pull around 120 or 130 Amps from your batteries when the heater is running..... how long do you think your 384 Amp Hour battery bank will last before it reaches the recommended half way point of that capacity? Frankly, you're going to need far more solar and a much larger battery bank to make that kind of power demands.... ConsideriLithium batteries and at least 1000 Watts of solar for this. I see you are in Oregon. Give AM Solar over in Springfield a call.....or contact them on their website and see if they'll give you an idea what you need. They are one of the best RV Solar companies in the country.
. . . . Or you might just reassess your planned usage needs ..... the desire for electric heat would be your big killer.....

Location may have a lot to do with it? Free enterprise at work here. It the price is too high, RVers will avoid....

Where oh where did you get the silly notion that the alternator doesn't charge batteries?

My suspicion, given the prior gunshots ... this may well have been some kind of weird sicko murder/suicide . . . just a guess ...

RE: Booster vs Laptop charger

You may find a 12V Laptop DC adapter or charger for yourr specific laptop on Amazon. They are pretty cheap and are the most efficient way to go.

RE: Can I have a virtual background for virtual meeting...?

Yes....that feature is built into Zoom. You provide the background Zoom picture on your computer and then choose it as virtual background from the Zoom program.....very easy but I forget what menu item in Zoom starts it.....not at my Zoom computer at moment.

RE: Lots of data

Your post seems to imply you seek a source other than cell phone or WiFi. In my view that leaves only a very pricey commercial satellite system to meet your needs.....

RE: Solar Panel Sale What Am I Missing?

Scroll down and CAREFULLY read the description and specs..... especially the SHORT CIRCUIT CURRENT ratings. These panels are being terribly mis-labeled.... mostly only 12V load voltage at 1.5 to 2 Amps.

RE: 10/3 Wire split

Don't understand the problem ... the OP says the copper wire was NOT damaged...just the insulation. ( slight scrape marks on copper is all ). I would just do a better tape job .... and then tape over the entire mess properly. Don't see any need to cut / splice / or pull new wires ....

RE: travel during covid

We have canceled our longer trips.... and restricted other travels too. We have taken a few short couple day trips to regional State Parks.....no need to have go into any stores.....carry all our supplies and food and just enjoy the outdoors. Home is so nice that we are quite comfortable staying home most of the time

RE: Battery water falls very slightly in Cell Six?

Let me rephrase - one cell starting to use more water than others was a very early symptom of battery starting to think about going bad...... not to say you don't have another year or so of good life. The fact that the SP of all cells was good and equal indicates nothing to be immediately concerned with.

RE: How do I run propane furnace but not hot water heater

Newbie here. Due to freezing temps, I want to run the furnace on low but with all water drained, but not winterized yet. How do I run the furnace but not the hot water tank? Did you drain the water heater?
He stated that in his original post....

RE: How cold is too cold?

Coolmom, I have been doing this for years without any problems. I use a small electric heater on in the RV set to come on around 50-55 degrees F. Never a problem. I might get concerned if temps get down below 25 or so.....but that is rare on the Oregon coast.... and I would just turn the heat inside up higher.....or maybe drain the water system.

RE: two days cold coming, not winterized yet

Hooked up to electricity? Put a small heater inside to keep warm and yes, put 60W or more lightbulbs in your wet bay. Don't forget behind fridge, too, if you have an icemaker being fed by RV water line. We did just fine doing this in one night of zero degrees F.
