RE: Another new generator ban bill in legislation in

There is already multible threads on this. The ban against small generators IS NOT going into effect until the technology makes zero emmission generators feasible. The law is about reducing "low hanging fruit" IC engine small equipment use such as personal use leaf blowers and lawn mowers, and encouraging new technology for the rest. No equipment will be banned until the feasibility and technology is sufficient for the usage. You have more faith in the California government being reasonable than I do. It states it right in the law. No belief required. Coming from a Government that changed mask requirements a hundred times instead of following the science.....

RE: Gas prices

I don't think it will affect travel much at all. Prices rise and fall with supply and demand, not politics. Really

RE: Best route from Fresno to Groveland?

You won't like 49. Myself I'd go 99 to Merced then J59 to 120

RE: A tale of two campgrounds

The budget runs everything in government, hence the income from the parks determines the budget.....

RE: Sun Shades/Awning

Do you turn off the steps when you are setup, with the switch off mine will only come up if I start the MH. Then again ours is 20 years old.

RE: Use of FLEX-SEAL (revisited)

A little over a year ago I posted that I used Flex Seal on a tough seal job on the roof. And I was happy. I was told to wait a year and then report back. Because they said that I would say something something different the performance after a year was poor. Well I am here to tell you that it performed beautifully. I believe it was properly preparing the substrate before I applied the product. I brushed it on and applied two coats it has performed as advertised. Jesseannie That's good to hear. Not many things more frustrating than having to redo a paint or sealant that didn't work as it should. (Removal of the old stuff being the worst part of it.) But I have to ask, if repairing something that you intend to be permanent, and it's not a quick side of the road type use what ya got type repair, why not use a product that is proven to be the right material for the application, rather than some "as seen on TV" type product? I used a product on my repair job that was permanent. I did the job at home and cleaned the old caulking of the skylight. I installed Dicor in the big holed and covered it all with paint able Flex Seal. It did a good job better than smearing on Dicor. Jesseannie While it is still working OK right now, patting your back may be a bit premature, even silicone RTV often works fine for one or two yrs. Over time, between UV exposure and extreme temp variations most sealants will randomly pull away from the surfaces they are applied to, creating hidden leaks.. "as seen on TV" hucksters put a great sounding spin on everything they want to sell you. Very few "as seen on TV" products really deliver a quality product, most are a huge failure that the buyer quietly shovels it under the carpet and will never admit defeat when the product fails to deliver the promises made by the TV huckster. As for myself, if it is a $20K+ RV, I am not going to depend on a "as seen on TV" sealant product.. This day and age I think you'll find hucksters running RV repair shops also....

RE: CBC radio

I didn't want to drill a hole in the MH body so I went with a window mount antenna 36" with no ground and my jeep CB antenna came setup so the antenna is not grounded. The only ground I did was the ground wire on the back of the CB itself. The main thing is a meter to set the antenna, so not sure on the antenna ground.

RE: Ghost Towns

JMHO, but buy a 2 dr jeep wrangler and your rving would be expanded 10 fold. Stop looking to go to places you think you can go too, to anywhere you want to go.

RE: Ford V-10 vs GM Vortec for towing

I talked to a rv repair shop supervisor and asked him the same question. He said either one is a good unit, but he would go with the V10 as the engine and F53 chassis is still in production. The 8.1 was discontinued in 09 as well as the W22 workhorse and has to search wrecking yards for frame parts. They both are good units just up to you.

RE: ANWR Drilling Stopped

"Free market" pretty sure that's not what the Fed's policy is going forward.

RE: ANWR Drilling Stopped

"ADAPT OR DIE" seems to be the only Federal Gov. policy offered to Americans.
