RE: F53 suspension upgrades

Henderson's radius rod sounds like a front track bar. You might have one if the you have a 18,000 lbs chassis. It's optional on the 16,000 lbs version. Easy to check. The attached image is looking front to back and the track bar is just above the front axle in the pic. Henderson Kit has a radius rod for each side. They mount longitudinally from the frame to the axle. Purpose is to keep the spring ends from moving front to back in the spring bushings. I have seen Bob Henderson show that movement

RE: F53 suspension upgrades

I'd LOVE to see someone post photos of that CHF from before, each step of it, and after it's complete. Look on There is a stickey in the Ford chassis section with long discussions and photos

RE: Tow vehicle specs

The Dinghy Towing Guides are a great source of info about towed vehicles and the needed towing equipment.

RE: Ford Bronco Sport

Found this on another forum: “ Full size Bronco can be, though. Bronco Sport is a dressed up Escape unibody crossover. Current Escapes are not flat tow approved. Bronco is body on frame construction, basically a SUV Ranger. Ranger is flat tow approved. No real surprises.”

RE: 2021 Chassis Class A Motorhomes

Does anyone here have a new gas motorhome on the new 2020/2021 F53 chassis with the new V8 and heavier duty suspension? If so, how about a review for us? The GVWR numbers are the same as for the V10 chassis, so am not sure sure there is anything heavier duty about the suspension on the new V8 chassis.

RE: Tiffin and Newmar Drop down bunks

I would never have imagined that the drop down bunk would be the Achilles heel for Newmar or Tiffin for our shopping. Winnie seems to be back on the table, their bunks look a little more usable while still being a decent quality coach. Watch the cargo carrying capacity on the Winnies. Really liked the Adventurer (I think the 36Z); but, is on a 22K chassis and only had about 1,100 lb CCC. Two in the coach and a tank of water and and is close it’s load limit.
