RE: Towing a 40’ weekend warrior 4005 flt.

I’m looking at a used Chevrolet 3500 dually with an 8.1 in it. I would like to keep a diesel but my budget right now wouldn’t allow it and I don’t think my 2500 diesel would fit or be too much for me to convert it. Since you are going with an older truck, you will need a dually, and I do not think you will be happy with a Gas powered truck, Diesel would be preferred.

2022 Crew Cab, Standard Bed 4WD, 6.6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel V8 engine: Max GCWR = 29,700 Single, Dual 40,000 Max Conventional Trailering 20,000 Single, 20,000 Dual Max Payload 5,343 Single, 6,838 Dual GVWR 12,100 Single, 14,000 Dual Rear Gross Axle Weight Rating 7,250 Single, 10,500 Dual You DO NOT NEED A DUALLY to safely, comfortably, or any other matter tow that trailer!!!!!!!!!! Well it seems you are picking and choosing your numbers, a Diesel DRW will not have a 6,838# payload. 14,000 - 6,838 = 7,162 that is one stripped down gas DRW. I took those numbers directly from the GM website. I picked the heavier truck Crew Cab.

RE: No hot water flow, stopped up ?

I would not use CLR.to Caustic. There is a product called RYDLYME Biodegradable Descaler Great stuff. I service Steam generators, and Boilers, and this is the industry preference. Hi HTE, The Rydlyme looks to be some good stuff, wish I knew about it for work as we had to clean out steam and water cooking tanks. I did not see it rated on aluminum. I may have missed it, have you used it on 7072 aluminum which is what the Atwood water heater tanks are made from? Just checking. Thanks John It is used for commercial steam cleaning in food service, also.

RE: No hot water flow, stopped up ?

The rule of thumb is that if the alloy is designed for use in a water system (aluminum engine block, aluminum mold, etc.), the alloy should be compatible with the RYDLYME solution. Otherwise, it is recommended that the RYDLYME be diluted 50% or more with water when cleaning. I personally Dilute 70/30 when cleaning boilers. (70 water/ 30 Rydlyme). The reason for that is the procedure for descaling calls for the unit to brought up to temp., and if excessive foaming occurs, the heating element will literally explode. $900.00 element

RE: Whistling Truck

Check the trim around the front windshield. With my bug deflector on my truck it caused a whistle tapping noise at highway speed. I taped around window and outside, and filled slight gap with black caulk. No more noise.

RE: Where did you get THAT?

Link does not work: solid surface countertops Uh, which THAT? B^) Sunseeker Photo Album As I review our projects, I recall the trials and tribulations of each, yet the satisfaction of all things we now take for granted. Perhaps the most work went into the swivel seat mod, but we also put a lot of effort into the new solid surface countertops. They've both paid so much in dividends in the terms of usefulness and longevity. Speaking of which, the new pleated blinds came in, so I gotta get busy & get the factory rollers replaced! I'll post pics and the story, of course.

RE: A different take on the popular ‘Carbon Dioxide Narrative’

A cogent construct worthy of serious consideration! (e.g. an anecdote to ‘outcome based’ modeling)… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-nsU_DaIZE 3 tons The problem I see with this is it was made in 2013. Not very current!!!!
