RE: Is it common to remove your truck camper at your camp spot?

I used to take the camper off the truck all the time. Liked the convenience of being near the ground. After having to evacuate due to a forest fire nearby, I decided to leave the camper in the bed of the truck.

RE: Looking for options

we realy do like the 992Steve
Going on 6 years with our 992 in a 2005 F350 SRW. To each their own:)
did you modify anything?
Steve
Per my signature "19.5" Tires + LoadLifter 5000 Rear Air Bags"
If I had to do it over again, I would go with "All Terrain" 19.5" tires instead of the "Highway" tread, as the Highway tread doesn't provide sufficient traction on wet ground.

RE: College Football Is Just Around The Corner, Can't Wait!

Tulane, Oregon, Oregon State, LSU and Boston College require all fans to be vaccinated.
Missed it by that much!
Attendees at designated university events and activities, as defined by the university and in consultation with the local public health authority - will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within the prior three days. Examples may include select concerts, conferences, and all Oregon Athletics events.

RE: Limp mode in Ford diesel vehicles - how prevalent?

I have a 2005 Ford F350 SuperDuty 6.0 Diesel. About 13 years ago an "over boost" condition(my fault) sent it in Limp Mode. I babied it to a point where I could pull off the road and it came out of Limp Mode after I shut off the engine and subsequently restarted it. Ford replaced the turbo under warranty. Hasn't ever gone into Limp Mode again.

RE: Bathroom access on the road

It will prob take 5 seconds to get the slide open so you can use. it. This is a subject that isn't worth talking about. What is the big deal about 5 -20 seconds to access a TC. I can open both of my slides in 9 seconds. I open them at the same time. I am always in a hurry but a few seconds is not worth talking about. It takes longer than that to walk into a public rest room. Enjoy all that slide outs offer, and they offer a lot.
X2
Yes, I have forgotten to put the slide back in after using the bathroom, but when I check my side view mirror and see the slide out, I have to get back out. Now I just make a mental note when exiting the camper to put the slide in. There are lots of pull outs on the road where there is plenty of room to stop and put the slide out.
This shouldn't be an issue when considering a TC.:C

RE: Favorite foods to make bulk and freeze for the road?

You can now get pressure cooker/air fryer combo units. You can also get a retro fit lid for Instant Pot that converts it to an air fryer.

RE: Arctic Fox camper electrical issue

Not sure about your 1150, but our 992 has a switch on the wall just before the sleeper. Actually, there are two switches. One controls the outside scare light and the other controls the sleeper lighting and the roof fan.

RE: One jack not functioning AF811

When was the last time you changed the battery in your wireless remote? Mine has to be replaced about every two years. I know its time when the jacks start to act wonky.
