RE: Motorhome drinking oil

1/2 qt in 500 miles but how much in 1000 miles? Many engines will use a half at and stay there for many miles. You don't need to add until it gets to "add" our almost.

RE: Can you get a decent browser on Windows XP?

My laptop works fine with XP. I use it for e-mail, to put music on my WD my cloud, and a little banking. If anyone stoled my identity, when they found out what they had they would give it back. What do you use for a browser? Internet Explorer

RE: DTV nightmare.. Timmac around?

We live between NY and Boston, a very crowded place. With a big antenna with a booster we get 6 or 8 stations depending on the weather. We live near the top of a hill but the closest station is about 40 miles away. Our DSL has to be rebooted about twice a week because the wires on the street are too old. They won't fix the wife because every thing is going cell service. We have one bar of AT T if I stand by the window in the living room, nothing with other carriers. Cable says not enough people to ever have cable. I am not the only one, Dish will be around for a long time.

RE: Towing a car hauler

With a car hauler you distribute the weight by parking the car in the right place. You don't need a weight distributing hitch, as long as your hitch can hold the weight.

RE: Tiffin Motorhome repair Red Bay rule change

We have a Winnebago that we bought used but had all the service records. It is a 2004 and had the brake recall done at a Winnebago dealer. In 15 years it has only been to Winnebago that once. Many people can fix a MH.

RE: Home monitoring system?

All this sounds good if you live in the city. With spotty cell service and unreliable internet it might work some of the time.

RE: How do you begin to plan for extended road trips?

We deside what direction we want to go, tell the post office to hold the mail and then go. During the week there is always a camp ground close by that is not full. We never make reservations but don't expect to get into a national park when kids are out of school. We have found many places of interest where there wasn't supposed to be anything. Don't make your plans too strict, relax.

RE: Gaspe Trip, Quebec

We went around the gaspe in 1962 with a pop up camper. A lot of places we stayed weren't campgrounds. I bet it's different now.
