RE: St Augustine Campgrounds

I always stay at Stagecoach when in the area... Not really sure they enforce the 10 year rule. I would call them, talk with them and ask if I could email pictures?

RE: Trion V10

I had 3 V-10 Triton's and all 3 performed great. No problems. The motorhomes were all 31 or 32' .. averaged 8.5 mpg, towing/not towing, uphill/downhill. 2004, 2009 and a 2011.

RE: Do any hotels/chains offer RV spots with electric or hookups

My late husband always preferred a RV site with a motel.. said in case of bad weather we had a place to go to. I did find 3 in all our travels. One in Canton, TX, one in NY and one in Kingsland, GA KiKi RV Park. All 3 had full hookups. Maybe Google Motels w/RV Parks... might get some in your area.
The above posted list is very good. Thanks.

RE: Waste Tote Recommendations

I have 30 plus gallon tanks on my RV. I bought a 21 gallon tote and at the weight of a gallon of water, that is a lot for me to handle by myself. 168 #'s plus. So, fill 1/2 full and still have a hard time with the weight. I do suggest one with 4 wheels, tho. Mine has 2 and attaches to the hitch on the truck.
I wished I had looked on Craig's list for a used one... saw one later for 50.00 and I paid almost 200.00.

So sorry you no longer have your wife by your side to travel the miles with.
You are doing what you have to do now. Good luck and may God bless you both.

RE: It’s been a good run

Is it not illegal to have a battery (or batteries) inside a camper? I had a Class B and someone added a battery inside under a seating area and I was told by an automotive repair place, that was totally illegal to have a battery inside with no venting. Maybe I was told wrong?

RE: Looking for Truck + Truck Camper, Seeking Guidance

I had a 2500 LB CC Dodge Ram, Hemi 5.7... I did lots of research and matched a Palomino hardside camper to it... perfect combo. Had no sway problems, drove beautifully. I made sure I had enough payload left to put my stuff in it... added Firestone airbags to truck. Fun way to go. If I had gotten a 3500 I also could have probably gotten a truck camper with a slide, which would have been nice. But the ease of driving was a major thing to me. Good luck and enjoy.

RE: Day night shade replacement suggestions?

I did mini-blinds, but so hard to keep clean. Better than strings breaking, tho.

RE: Problem with master closets

I have read some use child hangers to solve that problem. I turn my clothes sort of sideways on the regular hangers and it works for me.

RE: Cannot open grey or black tank

I use silicone spray on my rods... might try to use the drill method above to get some in... maybe if some can be sprayed in next to the gate, that might start it?

RE: Sepsis

So sorry to read of your problems and hope you are on the mend now. I just went through something similar, but not as severe or painful as you. First time in my 77 years. Had 3 different antibiotics in something like 2 weeks, my doctor was trying everything to keep me from going into hospital as I am alone and have my furchild to consider. I am on OK now, infection cleared but it was a very rough time. I had no strength. Dr. said they do not know what causes it (infection attached to walls of bladder and very resistant to antibiotics).. nothing I did.
Prayers do work.

RE: Black Tanks Won’t Flush

Could there be another slide valve located somewhere underneath? I had motorhome which had shut-off slide valve which had to be opened before it would come out the
normal outlet... sort of a safety situation. Just a thought.

RE: Two Medical Crises their Resolution and Costs

Wow... great on the cost and the services. Several years back I had to take my late husband to the ER to get a catherter (sp?) inserted and 15 minutes and $1400.00 he was out of there.
I just got a increase in my secondary insurance (I have Medicare Part A & B) of right at 30.00 a month, bring the total to 430.18 a month (plus Medicare...) Mexico is doing something right.

RE: jenny ridge venue rv park

I stayed there last year for a few days, using Passport America. The lady in the office was very pleasant, nice pull-thrus and location was nice. Certainly would stay again.
I also like Walkabout RV Park in Woodbine, exit 7 off I-95. They too, are PPA and very nice owners.

RE: banking when full timing

I found it good to have a 2nd account while I traveled all of last year. I saw a lot of Regions Banks in my travels. I locked my debit card up on one account so until I could get straightened out the next working day (Monday, don't you know) I did have an alternate to use.
I also did cash back at WalMart usually or a grocery store.
