RE: Rv-ers prefer Duramax?

20 year anniversary of the Duramax, 30+ with the Cummins. The 2nd and 3rd versions of the Powdersmoke didn’t make it 10 years, collectively. First one produced is displayed at the Cummins Engine Plant. https://i.imgur.com/tYa1ypsl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/gPRrA16l.jpg I miss that square body. It was cool when dodge did the little freightliner in the '90s but now it's done.

RE: Rv-ers prefer Duramax?

For sure I see more Fords in fleets and Dodges as self owner work trucks. But more Duramax at RV camping. Perhaps I should clarify. My truck has held up OK. The dash went out after warranty and GM gave me parts but I paid labor. One of the crappy Firestones blew out a left front when I was towing and I had to change it on I-10 in Fla! I know someday it will need the dreaded water pump. And who knows what might blow! Diesels are expensive to fix. But it does have great seats that are good for 12+ hours. It's pretty quiet and has a good ride. It has an old Bose stereo and I need to plug in a cassette converter to play my phone music.

RE: GM Spokesperson admits energy to charge cars comes from coal

You have to wonder how much better the next generation EVs will be? Will the charge range go to 500 miles? 1000? 10000? I see the Germans are trying to catch up with Tesla. Teslas are status cars there. Saw my first EV Porsche and Audi recently. Honda plans to go all EV. So are the domestic companies. I guess it's nice to see America products first in technology for a change. I hope I can find a practical and affordable EV.

RE: El Paso, TX

El Paso is not in NM, but is in Texas. The NM state line is also the northern line of El Paso. You can get shot in either one, take your pick. Is El Paso a safe city? Safewise ranked El Paso #6 in the Top 10 Safest Metro Cities for 2019 with populations over 300,000 and as 7th in 2018.Jun 12, 2020 https://www.google.com/search?q=el+paso+crime+stats&oq=el+paso+crime+stats&aqs=chrome..69i57j0i22i30l4.5527j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Rv-ers prefer Duramax?

I see all of this on the forum with Dodge and Ford. When I go camping, Duramax seem to be the real deal. Yeah, Chevys will Nickle and Dime you but don't blow up, kill the tranny, rust prematurely or beat you to death. Seems like the Duramax just keep going, have the best seats, a comfortable ride and won't screw you with warranty or even out of warranty repairs. I guess that's why I see more of them at campgrounds. I suppose everyone has favorites.

RE: What must we do in Colorado?

“Crowded” in Estes Park in July is an understatement IMO. Try to make reservations. Go to the south end of the park. There are several campgrounds at the south entrance and Grand Lake is a great destination. Great views and not so crowded.

RE: killed new Jeep Wrangler by Flat-Towing It in 4-Low !

I don't know about the Jeep but I'm pretty impressed with the tow vehicle.

RE: Ram "limp Mode"... Again!

since it's running now, perhaps it's a good time to move on from Dodge?

RE: Tesla driving across Canada in 74 hrs

Way cool? How popular is Tesla in Canada currently? I was in Europe the other year and everyone would point to my Tesla hat (from my son who used to work for Tesla) and if I got one. I got the impression everyone's dream car is a Tesla. I visited Holland and Germany a couple of years ago, Tesla was the status car. When was the last time an American car was popular in Europe?
