I have always left my batteries installed and attached to the Progressive Dynamics converter. It does a good job of maintaining the battery and I can use the TT as a personal getaway when I need some alone time.
After all, I bought it to take care of my batteries.
Yep,the PD's with the de sulfate mode programming are very good to batteries, in my experience,also.

I'm new here, 65 and on a low fixed income. I agree with Cummins12V98. What I have seen on this thread is lots of people that are out of touch,and also lots of people that have great retirement and investments.Those,as in the last, will not be affected much. Upgrading Motor homes and big rv's is probably logical,with the low interest rates,but others,buying and upgrading, buying a second or vacation home,new vehicles,boats and such,I feel are in for a rude awakening. Heck I never see people here talking about heating, or grocery prices? ALL heating,oil,ng,lp are up 30 to 38%, electricity soon to follow. NG and LP may double this winter,according to the industry people. I see people trading in their 2 year old vehicles,claiming they got 2k more than they paid for it,with no consideration to how much the new one they got was marked up. My bet,from life experience, is by end of next year,possibly sooner, we will see "fire sales" of rv's vehicles,toys like boats and utvs,etc, and vacation homes. And many will lose these things,yet still have payments,on the loss. Possibly a flip in the House may save them. That is my observations.

Much ado about nothing. You have only 1 axle. Leaf springs are not really made to exacting specifications. Where they are clamped to the axle is not a "tight" fit,allowing adjustment for alignment. This is also how it is done on cars, trucks and trailers with leaf springs,front and rear. And,because there is no "steer" in a single axle trailer,alignment is usually moot,as comes close anyway, or can even be checked with a tape measure. The important thing is how the vehicle sits when loaded, should be level(not if trailer is poorly loaded), which is why springs are generally replaced,or rebuilt in pairs,per axle.There are occurrences where there are different springs,right to left,but yours would not be one of these.

And if your lucky enough that the low setting of 1500BTU is enough, great, but if you need 5000BTU or more, compounds the potential moisture issue.
1,500 continuous BTUs is roughly equivalent to a 15,000 BTU furnace running 10 percent of the time.
Max output of this particular heater is 3,000 BTUs. If I need more than that, the furnace can make up the difference.
Using the furnace a little beats using it a lot, IMO.
Then again, if you're really that concerned about the extra moisture, just leave one of the kids at home. :B
Not really. Most RV furnaces are not very efficient, you may be getting only 11,000 btu's of heat from it. Then there is the electricity use,especially if not plugged in. Then the noise.Then the huge losses from duct work,in bigger rv's/campers, usually run in cold spaces. Just some reasons space heaters are so popular in rv's. Also,gas and electric space heaters are 100% efficient. If they have fans,then a bit less.

I agree, probably restriction in the line, not a rare situation , builders leave garbage in tanks quite a bit. I would try blowing air into the drain,then see if it makes a difference, even for a bit, next time. You could call builder and find proper procedure to gain access.

In my experience,many "swore by it" usually within a short period of time after having the new tires installed.Without giving consideration to the new tires.As time went on,I expect lots,like some I have talked to,experienced premature tire wear. More "traction",more wear.

#1 That looks like an RV Designer switch. Their switches are rated for 10 amps. You could run 1 to 2 headlights off of it. However, lots of their switches use flat spade push on connectors,commonly called quick disconnect connectors.They can corrode, they can become loose where they slide on the switch.Can also corrode at the wire crimp.Pull out the switch,look for these.Also,look at back of switch,for signs of melting.
#2 Agree with some other posts, spray out latch assembly,wd40 will clean pretty well, but not leave a lubricant.So then spray with something.White-lube is good,and does not stain clothes.PB Blaster will clean and lube,but stinks.After all that,still does not hurt to lube the contact face with wax or soap.
Has been my experience on older campers, things get out of wack enough you have to pull the release while pulling in on the door. Door replacement can be expensive.

Bad advise, except maybe for an emergency. WW fluid is methanol. Lets look at it--
Emergency and Hazards Overview
DANGER: (Skull & Crossbone symbol) POISON. MAY BE FATAL OR CAUSE BLINDNESS IF
SWALLOWED. VAPOR HARMFUL. FLAMMABLE.
RV antifreeze is PROPYLENE GLYCOL, relativly safe. Plus,the methanol might affect the plumbing.

Well,Lance does not recommend. And,if I am reading the chart right, your 4 door(crew cab?) with diesel can carry 1,800 lbs. And,Ford says this--

I think you need to do some research. The truck would be easy to build.A 2" lift, add camper=0 lift,and no where near "high clearance".
Roads like that will destroy a truck camper.Really sounds like you should have an expedition vehicle built,like an EarthRoamer.
Otherwise, build your truck,buy a "sturdy" truck camper,as in a Four Wheel camper,pop top,no A/C, gen., etc, weight is not your friend, go as light and slow as possible.

Many laptops,and other electronics, have "parasitic drain". This means the battery can go dead, even when off. Some laptops, in as little as 10 days. This is why I recommend removing the battery.Just plain logic.
