RE: How to rotate dually pickup truck tires

I'm in the group that it's more trouble than it's worth. As for actually dismounting tires and remounting, I would be worried of possible damage to the bead and damaging a tire.

RE: Garmin 780 RV “sharp curves”

I have the 785 and have the same exact issue. I have even received the sharp curve on a section of road where you could see straight for miles. Go figure

RE: Need help from experienced woodworker

You state you think the wood is OAK (a hard wood) so why did you use a stain for Soft Wood?

RE: 5th wheel & Half-ton TV Thoughts

Yes, but the oil will float on top of the water, the fifth wheel won't float on the 1/2 ton, more like try to crush it unless one of the super lite units.

RE: How to rotate dually pickup truck tires

If that were really the case that you couldn't move wheels, you would then have to have two spares, one for the front and one for the rear.

RE: Attempted truck theft - I hate thieves

They're only protected if the body is found.

RE: RV wind deflectors do they work we will see

My understanding is they can work, BUT you would have to put the whole set-up into a wind tunnel and adjust the Wing to the exact pitch and then it would only be good for that combination. The pitch/angle of the deflector is critical.

RE: RV wind deflectors do they work we will see

I have pulled the same unit, 2016 Redwood 39MB that is 43' tip to tale and pushing 20K with a 2011 Duramax 3.73 gears and current 2018 Duramax also with 3.73s, both Duallies. and have averaged between 10 to 11 on both putting 50K miles on the RV

RE: RV wind deflectors do they work we will see

WOW, how fast were you running? Was there a very strong headwind? My unit is pushing 20K and I still average 10 to 11 overall running at 65.

RE: Hooking up to water/sewer

Generally hook-up to city/park water, BUT not without a pressure reg. All valve closed until they need emptying.

RE: Macerator and Drop-Ins

Cap full of Calgon Liquid Water Softener and a cup of Dollar Store PineSol Cleaner is all you need, along with plenty of water. They're holding tanks unless you leave your Poo in there all season most chemicals won't do much.

RE: Tire pressure monitor systems

I needed to replace my monitor on my TST system, called them and was told I would get a better deal from TechnoRV, they even have a Vets discount.

RE: 2 a/c units on 1 gen?

Tend to agree, 5500 W will run two 15K ACs, but 3500 is questionable. Try it and see what happens, make sure everything else is turned off or disconnected.

RE: renting a 5er tow vehicle

We have friends who pulled their small 5th Wheel with a Leased Ford F150.

RE: Good RV Mattress for heavier people

We swear by Sleep Number, can adjust each side of the bed to your comfort level. Each time we traded up (3 times) the Sleep Number was the first thing transferred.

RE: Question for those with an Auxiliary diesel fuel tank

Please what type of filters? Most filters require pressure to pass the fluid through the filter. What being talked about here is gravity feed system with no pressure to force the fuel through a filter. I suppose an old style bowl with ceramic element would work, has that type on all the old farm tractors we had on the farm and their fuel systems were all gravity feed.

RE: Traveling with Propane on

When we had our TT and a Gasser TV, I would just pop inside and turn the fridge to OFF quicker and easier than turning both tanks off.
