RE: Automatic Transfer Switch

I concur, Generator is the primary input on mine. Can be connected to shore power, start the genny and it switches from shore to genny.

RE: Do's and don'ts of towing a loaded 12" tandem behind 5vr??

The quickest and easiest setup for a small trailer like that would be to install a Surge Brake setup.

RE: Sailun tires

So far as I know, I'm the only one who has had a section of tread separate on a two year old China made Sailun S637 215/75R17.5. Like the others tire never lost air and didn't even know it happened until a day later as that section of tire just disappeared with no damage. I switched to the Sailuns after a 4 1/2 year old GY G114 blew and did some minor damage.

Ditto the Oxygenics Shower head.

RE: RVs over 10 years old are valueless

All it needs is the AC hanging out that back window.

RE: Additional fuel carrying capacity on pickup

When traveling in Alaska, that next fuel stop you have planned may be out of fuel or have no power to run the pumps, next fuel is 100 miles away. Now what do you do?? We carried two extra 6 Gal fuel containers, now have an additional 40 Gal in my Fuel/Took Box combo.

RE: Solar Rv awning -- does it pencil out?

On our Winter Florida site, our awning faces North while the Sun is on the South side, so wouldn't generate anywhere near max. While a neat idea, not overly practical in most cases.

RE: Dish wiring

You are looking at doing it the proper way. Proceed and enjoy.

RE: MorRyde IS is finally happening

If you want the correct price, call MORryde and ask, will be correct vs someone like me trying to remember how much I paid over 6 years ago. Remember, last I heard they were starting to schedule out into 2023 and todays price may be different than 2023's price.

RE: Generator to run three RV's?

If the area is at all remote, I doubt the Generator would be there long before it developed legs and wandered off the property. I tend to agree with a generator for each unit, could be sized for each power requirement.

RE: Additional fuel carrying capacity on pickup

Here's my opinion: On these newer Trucks with all the HP and Torque a few hundred pounds of extra fuel will never be noticeable in the mileage. It take thousands of pounds of weight to make a difference and even that isn't as much as the frontal area of these Boxes we pull around. My first Diesel a 2005 Chevy Duramax with the 5 speed xmission was used to pull three different trailers, a 24' TT, 30' TT, and a 35' Fifthwheel and the mileage towing was so close you couldn't really tell any real difference.

RE: Max Pressure Cold vs Hot Pressures - How Much Is Too Much

I have to disagree with the 10% increase when running. I'm running 17.5" "H" tires at 125 PSI and see normal temps running at 65 of 140 to 150 depending on ambient temps. So that's closer to 20% increase. Currently running Sailun which replaced my GY G114s after one exploded. And the GYs ran the same temps as the Sailuns.

RE: Residential Refrigerator question

I installed some latches, don't ask the name as I have long forgotten, got the info from a Friend’s 2015 Jayco and ordered on line. Plus, we use a section of Pool Noodle between doors and Island Counter

RE: Max Pressure Cold vs Hot Pressures - How Much Is Too Much

I know I read it on one of the Tire MFR's sites, but don't remember which, but what I remember was trying to set the tire pressure at an ambient temp of 70 degrees. When temps are in the mid 50s the pressure will be approx 10 to 15 Lbs below the set pressure, but within a few miles rolling down the road they will be at the set temp and continue rising as the continue heating up.

RE: MorRyde IS is finally happening

OK, our SOB with OEM 7K axles comes with a GVWR 16.5K order it with the optional 8K axles and it suddenly has a GVWR 17.9K, that number limited by the Tri-Glide Pin with a rating of 18K. Can't have the GVWR more than the weakest link. We've had the 8K IS since new, changed Pin to a MORryde with six bolts giving a rating of 24K. Rig is scaled at 19.5K and has over 50K miles in the last 6 years and no frame or suspension isses.

RE: MorRyde IS is finally happening

Luxe is also doing the same as DRV. We were at MORryde in July and there were several Luxe Toy Haulers there for alignment.

RE: Lippert auto leveling system

Ours is the Black Control unit just like Ford Truck Guy and he is 100% correct.

RE: MorRyde IS is finally happening

We actually had the IS installed on ours before it was even delivered to the Dealership. Turned out to be a good thing because we paid for the optional Disk Brakes from the Factory, somehow they dropped that line item of our order. So MORryde ended putting the Disk Brakes with the IS.

RE: Calling weight police - help

Many of those Dry Pin Weights are nothing but Fantasy. Our unit left the Factory almost 1000 Lbs heavier than the published Dry Pin.

RE: Question about unit stabilization

Check the MORryde site, they have a new HITCH MOUNT STABILIZER P/N SP54-182 that mounts into the Receiver Hitch Tube (If you have one) with arms on each side that fold down and are adjustable, then a Ratchet Strap between those arms that you crank good and tight and helps take some of the tail bounce.
