RE: 5th Wheel Hitch Buyer's Guide

A campground host here, we see several broken back glass and or dented cans on short bed trucks every year.
We had a long bed with a B&W and still miss it but currently we have a short bed with a pullrite autoslider and like it. Especially not having to get out in nasty situations such as weather or gas stations and have to slide it manually.

RE: Alaska Bound

We just made that crossing into Alaska, some fuel stations were open but we have an auxiliary fuel tank.
It took about 40 minutes to get to the border just from the cars waiting in line. Highest diesel price we saw was 8.20 CD.

RE: Onan Microlite 4000 shaft locks up on occasion

There are multiple possibilities from dirt dauber nest to a loose screw being caught in the flywheel or a fastener vibrating loose.
It could be the swear ridge at the top of the cylinder but only with a worn con-rod or crankshaft.
Not all aluminum cylinders are sleeved just the better ones.

RE: Expert Fuel Pump Opinions Needed!

If the unit had a serious thump very recently, it could be a fuel pump reset switch that sometimes triggers following a wreck or big drop.

RE: Ozarks camping

Echo Bluff has a lot of float trips and there are many campgrounds around Branson with all of it's entertainment.

RE: Additional fuel carrying capacity on pickup

RDS makes a in bed auxiliary fuel tank. I got a 50 gallon one with my autoslider hitch about 800 miles on an average day pulling a fiver.

RE: Generators for 5er

unless the rear cargo carrier is extremely built and the trailer frame reinforced it will not be capable of carrying the weight of a 7000 watt gen.

RE: Kohler 5CKM21 no compression in both cylinders

if the intake valve had pressure coming out instead of in then you have stuck intake valves on both cylinders. the trick with pressurizing the cylinder through the sparkplug works very well. Other small engines used to get carbon fouling in the valve guides resulting in stuck valves and no compression usually from the carb running rich.
