RE: Hitch Mounted Cargo Carriers

I'm ok with the weight limit. I just want the extra width.

Hitch Mounted Cargo Carriers

Does anyone know who sells 72" cargo carriers that mount on the hitch on the back of RV's? Doing a Google search, the biggest I can find is 60".

RE: Rancho Shocks

Rancho shocks are part of the Z71 package on Silverado's. I had them on my 2015 and I have them on my 2020

RE: OTR Mobile - GRRRR

Snip... If AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon wanted to provide truly unlimited data with no caps, no throttling, no anything, at a reasonable price, they would do it themselves. They don't need resellers to sell their product. They already have! Check out Visible by Verizon. I have been on their network for the past year and have had no place that was not covered. Unlimited minutes, texts, and data with no speed cap ever. $40/month all in. No extra charges at all. Barney Except according to the Visible website there can be restrictions. In very small print it says.... *In times of traffic, your data may be temporarily slower than other traffic. **WiFi calling available on select devices. +Mobile hotspot speeds capped at 5 Mbps and limited to one tethered device at a time. I'm sure it's a very good plan but it not truly unlimited. There's always a catch.

RE: Border closure extended

I have a neighbor who is Canadian with dual citizenship. His two sisters live in the Toronto area. The word on the street up there is that the border won't open until after the new year sometime. I can't confirm any of that. It's just what my neighbors sisters told him they were hearing. Take it for what it's worth.

RE: OTR Mobile - GRRRR

In my opinion, all of these so called "unlimited" third party resellers are doing something shady. It might not be illegal but the real providers figure out what these resellers are doing and either cancel their ability to sell the plans or make it too expensive. Then the resellers find some other avenue or loophole to continue their business. Then it's Rinse and Repeat. If AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon wanted to provide truly unlimited data with no caps, no throttling, no anything, at a reasonable price, they would do it themselves. They don't need resellers to sell their product.

RE: Real-life experience blocks to aid 6-point leveling system

I found that I would lift my tires off the ground on many occasions when on uneven ground without using the leveling blocks. I don't want my tires off the ground EVER!

RE: Trojan:Win32/WinLNK.JL!MTB

Download the free version of Malwarebytes Run the program. Then you can either upgrade and buy the program or delete the free version. free version didnt find it, think the ugrade would???? No. There's no difference between the free and paid version. Only how much you can do with it and how long you can use it. It locates the same things.

RE: Speedway Gas Discount???

I'm guessing you will get the 5% discount. They are in a full partnership agreement according to the press release I found online.

RE: Considering a '17 3500 Ram

If you know the VIN number of the truck you're considering, you can likely get all of the specs on it using a VIN Decoder.

RE: Notification email link does not work

Be thankful you're getting an email notifying you that there's been replies. I've made threads and never get an email after choosing to be notified. The software is antiquated.

RE: Upgrading to a better phone

I think the Galaxy line is up to S-20 (with 5G technology) You mentioned liking the Android line (Same here) I can not believe all the folks in another place I frequent with all the I-phone problems.. NOT one Android user has those problems. NOT ONE. (hotspot issues) There are different levels of Galaxy phones too. I have a Samsung Galaxy A51 that cost less than half what the S models cost

RE: 5th wheel life

Congrats on the new to you 5th wheel! We went from a travel trailer to a 5th wheel. Everyone has their reasons for one type or the other but we'll never go back to a travel trailer.

RE: What discount to expect on special-ordered truck?

When sitting down with the sales manager or whoever will actually be filling out what you want you need to make clear to them that before committing to the purchase, you need to have a financial deal in place. Too many things can go wrong between the time of the order and you actually seeing the truck at the dealer. Never commit at the time of ordering. I'm not sure if an invoice is available right then or if you have to wait for the truck to be delivered but certain things aren't negotiable like destination fees but a lot is. Always work off the invoice, not the MSRP. So many people want dealers to take money off the MSRP when they should always be working off the invoice and dealers are happy to share that with you. When I negotiated for my new truck, it was the first thing I asked. Please show me the invoice. Then negotiate to get to an agreed upon purchase price. One thing that stands out that you shouldn't pay for is the Dealer IMR contribution and the LMA group contribution. Since the truck is a special order just for you, there's no need to pay those advertising costs. I would walk away if the dealer insisted on it. You also are entitled to any incentives that might be in place at the time. How willing the dealer is to give a fair deal, a good deal or a great deal depends on a lot of variables. Best of luck to you!

RE: Fall color prediction map

That's a pretty cool map. Thanks for sharing it. I noticed last winter when we were in Florida that around mid to late November, all the Green foliage became Green foliage. Seriously, we didn't notice much if any change at all until late February. Then the Pollen was crazy bad for about a month.

RE: Is it a good time to sell?

My friend listed his 3 year old single axle Jayco camper on Craigslist this morning. A guy came and looked at it this afternoon and it was sold for $500 less than what he paid for it brand new. New and used sales are through the roof this year.

RE: Getting Pin Weight From Tongue Weight Scale

If you are towing a 5th wheel, moving cargo around is not going to affect pin weight very much unless you put a bunch of gold bars in the basement. I have a 35 foot toy hauler which I weighed empty (as delivered), then loaded up for vacation with a dirt bike, a 600+ lb. quad, camping gear and 50 gallons of water for the road and 30 gallons of gas for the toys and the genny. Probably over 2,000 lbs. total of cargo, then weighed again. The load added about 440 lbs. to my pin weight. Adding the toys to the garage made little difference in the pin weight. As delivered the trailer weighed 13,100 lbs. with 2,560 lbs. on the pin. Loaded for vacation as described above the trailer weighed 15,740 lbs. with 3,000 lbs on the pin. GVWR for the trailer is 16,400 lbs. Interesting. I would have assumed the dirt bike and quad would have lightened the pin weight some while the rest of the cargo would put weight back on the Pin.

RE: Getting Pin Weight From Tongue Weight Scale

You have a 2020 GM 2500, so that clouds the waters a bit. What is your GVWR and Payload on the 2500? It is my understanding that GM now has as high as 11,500# GVWR and likely with the Dmax close to 3,400# payload. My GVWR is 11,350 and I have a 3,310 pound payload capacity

RE: Getting Pin Weight From Tongue Weight Scale

Why not drive to a truck stop and use a Cat scale for $10? Then go drop the trailer in the lot and weigh the truck for another $2. Of course using a Cat scale will be done when it's convenient to use but the nearest Cat scale to my house is an hour away. If I had a scale I could measure Pin weight numerous times and experiment with what is the best way to distribute the weight in my RV.
