RE: sewer hose that fits in bumper

I thought they all fit also, maybe not the 90 degree peice, but thats why there removable. And yes, twisting the hose will let the coupler clear the outside and slide in.

RE: Clam Shell pop up screen room

These are heavy duty, and you can get them in diffent sizes. I would have a bottom plate or something so it dosen't bounce out.

RE: Black walnut issue

My hope was that someone had experience with these screens would respond, only one did and it was somewhat positive. I dont want to cut all the trees, but I do want to protect the panels and skylights, I'll probably try a 13 x 20 with d rings at the corners, or maybe park on the road for Sep and October. The mesh things should definitely work. I have one in my yard, and this is ots 3rd year. I dont have anything hitting it though. Just make sure you get the wallnuts off before the start to degrade. That black stuff in the wallnuts stains. It will work.

RE: Black walnut issue

I think it depends on the tree, if pruned properly, and it grows straight with no branches low, and no knots, cold stress fractures, and bugs it might be worth something. But most people , especially in nj, dont want to take the time to look at the tree. So, you can sell it , but sometimes its not easy to do.

RE: Black walnut issue

Anything is better then nothing. In a good year for the trees the fruit? Or it it a nut? Can do some dammage. I got rid of my trees. They atually cracked the roof of my shead. I feel your pain. And no one in jersey wanted the wood.

RE: Crockpot Recipes & Salad Recipes

Some stuff i do at home and will do when i take the crock pot camping. Easy tacos, chicken breasts , some chopped onions, 1/2 jar of salsa, and 1/2 pack taco seasonings. Cook on low all day , or high for half, shread the chicken. Pulled pork or chicken, just add some onions and BBQ sauce, same cook times, use a potato bun and some slaw. Add some more bbq before eating, the bbq looses flavor when cooked this way.

RE: Is this hitch wrong?

Who cares how you have been towing, you will need to turn the hitch over for the new truck. Set it up like the directions say. Remember to tighten it up good and check it before a long trip. Not knowing what your TT is, you may not need the wdh set that tight. I dont really need mine with the new truck but use it for the sway controll. I also had to ajust where the arms conected to the toung. But i also have a diffrent hitch. Good luck, do the measurements and set it up like you just got it.

RE: Benefit of extra fuel tank.

I dont have an extra fuel tank, but the new truck has a 38 gallon tank. Its way better being able to go further without stoping. Especially with a 9 yo in the truck with me. Between bathroom, meals and fuel it seems like we were stoping every hour and getting nowhere fast.

RE: How to avoid getting blown all over the road

What year is the ram? And specs? The trailer is larger. What are you putting in the hauler section? As some said it might be taking weight off the toung.

RE: Best stabilization upgrade(s)?

I dont have a long TT, but i do find that chocking both side of the rig helps a ton. You allready bought 2 new chocks, try using all 4.

RE: Help Ram 2500 6.4 gas vs diesel

I would look for a TT for now, make sure you like camping. One rental, may not be the best judge. I have never pulled a fith wheel but the TT when set ul properly are not that bad to pull at all. Maybe your experience was centered around the rental? You can always get something bigger later. I'm considering renting some different sizes. From what I can tell the things that I wasn't so happy with with the TT i tried seem to be different with a 5er so that's why I've been kind of leaning in that direction Well why not start woth the not likes first? No one can recomend something if they dont know what you want. I never rented a camper either. But they probably dont set the wdh perfectly. If at all. If its more room you need then maybe the 5 er will work. But for 2 adults and a kido, smaller might also work for now. It's all about what you expect and want vs whats needed. I will say , having a kid, that less might be better. Its hard to keep stuff orderly in the camper.

RE: Trailer Tongue Coupler Wear?

Yea, the cut off and re weld isnt that much, depends on the area, and who you get to do it. And yea i recently sold my 30 year old camper. My coupler and ball looked nothing like that. And it was well used by me and the people i got it from. Dosen't matter what it costs , it dosen't look safe. Unfortunately thats what you get into with old stuff, you fix it to make it safe or you dont and maybe suffer the consequences. They cut off the coupler ,not the tounge on the camper. If thats not mess up, then nothing is.

RE: EZ Pass with and without trailer

I found this article online: towing and ez pass For a standard hitch trailer, it appears that you can use the standard pass and the system will account for the proper number of axles and height as you go through. If you have a 5th wheel or motorhome, you want to get the towing pass because you get a toll discount. If you use the standard pass, you will not get that toll discount. That might just explain it. Lol.

RE: EZ Pass with and without trailer

In nj, they said only the one tag. It counts the axels. I have used it in ny and pa with no problems with 2 different axel campers.

RE: Ford as a tow vehicle

Look into mods, I think I read that that system can be bypassed. I had the same feelings with a 2012 gmc similler specs. Took a second before the computer registered you put the pedal to the floor. Lol. I got a 2500 chevey now. No problems, but they dont have to meet emissions standerds. I didnt have bucking and misfireing. Some other minor stuff contributed to the bad towing also, my p rated tires mostly. I had a lot of sidewall slop in the rear tires when towing.

RE: Forced out of your reservation

Sounds a bit fishy to me. Like the rv park got his freinds in there. I would definitely hold them accountable for what they did. Especially if i had taken off work on vacation, and now had it cancled for really no good reason. I can see if somthing happened, fire, tree fell, flood, but so someone else that wasnt booked allrady can go and camp, no way. I would be blasting that park everywhere I went. My time is as valuable as everyone elses. I think the park owner created the problem. Not anyones fault your large group can't get a site on short notice, plan ahead.
