Buying from private party in California

If I buy a MH from a private party in California and drive it to my home in Arizona, do I have to pay CA sales tax?
Of course I would have the title papers and bill of sale to provide proof of owndership.

Buying an RV in CA from private party

If I buy an RV in Caiif from a private party and drive it to AZ where I live, do I still have to pay the CA sales tax? I will obviously pay AZ sales tax when I register it in AZ.
Has anyone done this?

RE: Help with A/C freezing up ..

My front AC would freeze up if I had the temp set too low when it was 90* plus outside and if I had the temp set on 72-74 degrees. I was told by a HVAC repair man that I should run them at 78 or higher and they wouldn't freeze up. This was on my 02 Dutch Star with 2-13500 units. Later in life I changed them out to 15000 units and never had a freeze with temps set at 74 degrees and over 108 outside. My DW never wanted to use the DS in temps over 100 until I got the 15K units.
Not sure why this little TT I bought last year will do in hot climates w/ only one 13500 init

RE: From motorhome to travel trailer

We were in the same situation as yu are now. I sold a dutch star and bought a F150 Truck and bought a 22’ TT for local trips. The TT has a large slide out with all the goodies.
Murphy bed gives us a lot of interior space in the 20’ box. The quality is not Newmar built. I negotiated and payed a fair price for a new unit. If yu want higher quality look at Lance, Artic Fox, and Northern. I bought a Anderson WDH which is quiet and works well w/ my micro lite Flagstaff trailer. I changed the rear bumper and added a 3500 watt generator on rear rack and backup camera

RE: Tadi Bros wireless backup camera has intermittent problem

My information is old so you might have a different experience. We got a wireless Tadi color system in Jan 2015. Had problem similar to yours so we fought it for a while and then hard wired it in Jan 2016. It was better but then in Jul 2017, either the monitor or the camera went bad. Tadi couldn't tell us which and we were tired of trying to get it to work properly. We bought another system Rear View Safety and have been very happy with it.
Is the Rear View Safety hard wired?

Tadi Bros wireless backup camera has intermittent problem

I just installed a new 7" Tadi Bros wireless back up camera. It pairs OK, but I get an intermittent signal that cuts the picture in & out on 3-5 seconds intervals. Seams to be only when I'm traveling w/ Trailer.
Has anyone had this problem and how did you fix it?

RE: Jack stuck up

I did finally fix my jack. After taking it apart I found a video on you tube that showed me how the internal screw shaft looked like after this fellow had a similar problem. My shaft was jammed at the top of the shaft causing it to rotate in either direction without the screw drive moving up or down. I broke it apart w/a breaker bar and a 7/16 socket. I painted a mark on the screw shaft so I will not raise the jack up to its end point again which Caused it to lock up..I now know how the electric tongue jacks operate..

RE: Andersen hitch

I have one and its does what it says: quiet, easy to set up. My tongue wt is 525lb and the Trailer is about 6000#. I do think I need a new sleeve and you don't want to grease the ball.

RE: Jack stuck up

Shear pin most likely. You will have to take it off and take it apart. While its apart clean it and grease it up.
Where is the shear pin located. I took it apart and didn't see the pin. Where can I get a diagram
of the internal part w/shear pin? Thx Marv

RE: No 12V power to prewired back up camera

I did try the Marker lights today and found they powered the prewired fusion backup camera. it was an easy install. Thanks for all the info guys! I owned a DP for 14 years and always learned how to maintain my Rv thru forums like this.

RE: No 12V power to prewired back up camera

If it's like my friends trailer, that camera only works when you are hooked up to truck and your parking lights are on( your lights on). It only gets power then.
Thx. I’ll try that,

No 12V power to prewired back up camera

I went to install a backup camera to my Forest River flagstaff TT that is only 10 months old. I found thet there wasn't any 12V power to the preinstalled/wired furion bracket. I checked every where and couldn't get power. I didn't check the fuse's I will tomorrow. Is there a switch or or could it be something else. I think it should be hot as soon as the battery is turned on.

RE: Battery maintenance questions

Mt TT has a cut off switch and the battery so far stay around 12.6 Volts. If it goes below that I charge up to full capacity.. I owned a DP for 14 years and after 10year of use I finally had to replace the 4 batteries.I kept the water levels up by checking the batteries regularly. We never dry camped but stayed over night without shore power about 10 times in all.
