RE: Roadside Assistance problem

We only had to use our GS Roadside assistance and it was such a joke that we now have FMCA Roadside for any future issues we might have. Just got another letter to renew our GS or only $219.95 well that ain't going to happen!

RE: What did you do to your Class C MH today???

What kind of tires are you thinking about Sqdancecaller? Your first set since My 2013? My unit has firestone transforce HT, a bit cheaper than others, but I haven't had any problems with them. Not sure what I might do next. Our local tire shop recommended Master Craft tires. Got them on and have most everything loaded and ready to head south tomorrow. Only wish we were already there as it is a cold 26 this morning and due to be even colder tomorrow when we leave.

RE: Closed Please Review Rules - Overnighting at Walmart

Other options would be truck stops line Pilot, Flying J and Loves. You can also park at Cabellas and some Cracker Barrels. Have stayed at all the above for a short overnight.

RE: Class C Privacy Curtain??

Here is the link for the cover we have. Bought it from Camping World right after we got our Class C and love it especially when we are parked for several days. You can see out and even lower the side windows for air flow. Only issue is at night when we are inside with the lights on passerby's can see in. Solved that by placing a lamp on the dog house which blocks the view while giving us light. Works great. https://www.campingworld.com/deluxe-windshield-cover-with-mirror-cut-outs-ford-1996-and-up

RE: 32 ft class c

We have a 32 ft Thor Chateau and tow our HHR on a tow dolly. Only 1 AC but it works fine for us. We do keep a small fan handy should it get overly warm but it hasn't been used that much. I do agree with the issue on getting in and out of gas stations. It can be a hassle but we have learned to be very diligent in checking before we get ourselves in a bind. Usually try to use Flying J's or Pilot as they usually have RV lanes that make it much easier.

RE: What did you do to your Class C MH today???

Finally had a warm day so did the monthly generator run, put a few items in the coach and sat dreaming of our upcoming 12 day trip to Florida. Heading to the St. Petersburg Indy race on March 10th and it can't get here soon enough. Did make a trip to our local tire shop and did some checking about getting new tires and made arrangements to have that done in a few weeks. So ready to get the coach back out on the road and away from the snow and ice.

New Rt 823 in Ohio

We have a new route open in Southern Ohio, Route 823. It connects Rt. 52 to Rt. 23. It is 16 miles, 4 lane, with 70 MPH speed limit. If you are traveling south you can pick it up at Lucasville, Oh. which will keep you from all the stop and go traffic thru Portsmouth, Oh. Same with going north picking it up in Wheelersburg, Oh. This will sure make getting around so much easier for us.

RE: Barber Motorsports Park - RV camping sites ?

We went to St. Pete last year, camped just north of Tampa and had a great time. Also went to Mid-Ohio which was even better, boondocked right at the track! Love our racing, all kinds! Indy is even more interesting now that we have a local young man in the series. Hope to get to St. Pete again in 2019 but not sure yet. We have to see how the hubbys health is doing, cancer sucks but he is fighting and winning right now.

RE: class c blinds

We purchased a Windshield cover for the outside of our Thor Chateau that has screens that you roll the vinyl down to expose. Really like that we can see out the front window and even roll the windows down on the sides and still have air coming thru. We purchased them online thru Camping World the same week we purchased the unit. I believe they were ADCO brand. The only issue was that at night you could see into the unit from outside. We solved that problem by making a small table top for the dog house and adding a lamp there. The light from the lamp makes it hard to see in. Has worked for us for 3 yrs and like having the lamp there. Of course you could roll the vinyl up when not wanting it open but we are lazy and the lamp works. This might work for you.

RE: RV Insurance Options

We just made the choice yesterday after much searching. We got notice that our Nationwide insurance was no longer available as they were dropping the agency selling it. We ended up FMCA and got a great rate(better than the old one) along with better coverage. Funny thing is it is still with Nationwide. They are one of the agencies that were not dropped! Will not be renewing our Good Sam and going with FMCA as they have much better services. We have friends that use FMCA and have had nothing but good words for them and their service. Bye Bye Good Sam!

RE: Route Info

We do the Rt 35 to Dayton, picking it up in Chillicothe, Ohio. It is good 4 lane road with a few places that are showing signs of road needing resurfaced near Xenia area. You will hit a slow down once you get past Xenia and into the Beavercreek area. Several traffic lights but still 4 lane. Also know that 35 to Chillicothe from Point Pleasant is good 4 lane. Hope someone else can give you more advice.
