RE: Peak Blue Platinum DEF

The legally required MSDS says the contents are water and Urea (31-32%) period no secret stuff which would not have to be detailed but would have to be listed some way. As for synthethic Urea, it's all synthethic I doubt anyone is extracting urea from cow urine for example. Exactly!!! it HAS to be 31-32. You can't just willy nilly add something to it or it would not be DEF anymore.

RE: Peak Blue Platinum DEF

Top fuel racing is very expensive. John Force blows up a lot of engines and needs more money from Peak. What a genius way of doing it!! The only thing it costs Peak was a few more drops of ink on the box! Well played Peak!

Missteps by the scientists or editorial changes imposed by political appointees? No way for the public to know for certain. Ya, no really good way to tell. No really good way to tell why Fauci flip flopped on the mask issue either? Wearing a mask might make people feel a little better............ but it's not providing the perfect protection...........and often there are unintended consequences........... ------------------------------- HEADS UP!!!! The youtube video was from March, 2020. We have learned a lot since then. Please post as current info as possible. Thank you. (MOD)

RE: Are truck/trailer rims a weak link?

There's plenty of stuff I spend time worrying about. This isn't it. The wheels are much stronger than the tires around them. That's exactly what I was thinking also, but the OP has already broken 3 (or more). That is beyond an anomaly. I don't normally rock crawl when I tow my trailer! Aluminum is a poor material when it comes to using it in extreme conditions for rims. Magneesium is even worse.

RE: Tongue height

Truck level and the trailer down in front 2 or 3 inches. That's the way I have rolled for over 40 years.

RE: Scale weight, confused by to much data

Sounds like you got it where you want it and need it. Congrats on the setup. Now put this all behind you and go on another vacation!

RE: Tesla Semi truck unveil & test ride set for Oct 26th !

After the factory is built in TX. And when do "YOU" think that will happen? Not when Tusk or Tesla or anybody else say it will happen but YOU. IOW's when are we going to see a Tesla Semi going 500 miles/ charge with (Tusk said more but 500 will do for me) 80K on board? Oh and cost 250K? Give me a date.

RE: Tesla Semi truck unveil & test ride set for Oct 26th !

The time frame on the Semi has always been guidance from Tesla. Not me. You still cannot get that through your shell I see. I have always stated as my opinion, I would expect some delays. Now tell us about that BK that was filed last year due to the crushing debt you kept talking about. Or is Elon still in jail from the SEC complaint you and Ben kept talking about? Where are all your buddies from SA? Need to get some of that humor posted again. Tusk states Tesla single digits away from death. Would you look at that Time. Single digits away from death. Anyhoo, so when do "YOU" say the Semi is coming out. Because "YOU" said there would be a few running around at the end of last year. Where are they?

RE: Tesla Semi truck unveil & test ride set for Oct 26th !

It cost time and money to do the question is why did Tusk spend tise resourcesAnd I am thinking less time, less money, less weight than another bracket with a foam insert. Have read many related stories and ZERO failures. Maybe the Turtle can find a fail. I'm still trying to figure out when the "Semi" is coming out. Time, you said at the end of last year. Now it's at the end of this year. Are you now going to say the end of next year? Just when Time? And what about those 1 million robotaxies? Tusk said the end of this year 1 million robotaxies. Man, he better hurry up. Do you know when Time? I could use another laugh! :B

RE: Total outdoor flame device ban Oregon SP

Well according to the article the OP was incorrect. Propane BBQ's are allowed. So it looks like I can still cook my steak on my BBQ! Campfire Restrictions Extreme fire danger has prompted a statewide campfire ban at all state parks, including campgrounds, day-use areas and beaches. The ban includes wood, charcoal briquettes, candles, tiki torches and other devices that emit flames or embers. Propane stoves and other cooking devices that have a shutoff valve are allowed for cooking only.

RE: Nikola and GM team up to make 900 HP Electric Supertruck.

The announcement was not marketing hype. The announcement was a business transaction (strategic partnership) announcing that one business was buying service/product from another. Investors see this as positive, and react with purchasing stock. Last week, GM and Honda announced they have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding following extensive preliminary discussions toward establishing a North American automotive alliance. Today, GM announced that the Ultium battery – the power source behind GM’s future EV portfolio - will feature an almost completely wireless battery management system, or wBMS. I think I see a GMC Hummer soon! And just a coincidence that the stock of both companies, Nikola especially, took a big jump? And a company that doesn't even have a real product? Nikola I mean. Not marketing hype, riiiiiiiight. Wink wink, nudge nudge. I'm old enough to remember when Tusk said there was going to be "1,000,000 Robo taxies" by the end of this year and Tesla stock went way up after this news. 1,000,000 Robo Taxies by the end of 2020. I haven's seen one let alone 1,000,000! About time GM got with the times and start ripping people off! :B

RE: My luck ran out,, Hail Storm.

Sorry for your troubles CC. I have been in only 2 or 3 hail storms on vacation and they were pretty soft with no damage. (FYI when a roof vent blew off once I used and umbrella in a rain storm. It worked great!)

RE: Scale weight, confused by to much data

You're ok in MHO. But I would try to get about 500+ more on the steering axle if it were me. The idea is to get all the tires doing to same amount of work if you can. If you can't, call it good and go on vacation.

RE: Should I consider an onboard air pump??

The volume of air in an airbag is less than many bicycle tires . If you are only gonna do a couple times a year I would not spend three or four hundred dollars on an on board compressor . Maybe buy a kayak or fish pole ? Too hard for me to run along side the truck and put air in or take air out of the air bags for the conditions of the roads. And the ol lady will not sit on the bumper and do it. :B That makes the decision of a compressor an easy one. And while you're at it WB. Take that electric tongue jack off of your trailer.

RE: Should I consider an onboard air pump??

I have a blue tooth compressor system and I would not do with out it. Had it for 2 years or so. I use it a lot. I can adjust it with my phone or my fob. Blue tooth gives me the option to adjust to road conditions on the fly. If you live where they put salt down I would protect the compressor as much as I could from it.

RE: hitch lock??

My thought? If you're camping in a place where you are worried about getting your trailer ripped off you're camping in the wrong campground.

RE: Oil Change - synthetic oil

There it is again. Stretching to the full 15,000 and what does the oil analyzer say? Go 17,000 Why is anyone still at 5,000 intervals if driving a lot of highway miles? Because an oil change is cheaper than an engine. And if you ever seen the inside of a motor that had extended oil change intervals you wouldn't be so quick to say go as long as you can! Why push it and possibly cost your self $5k to $10 or $12k!So you are saying Blackstone Labs is giving bad information? I’m saying I’m not relying on outside sources to maintain my vehicles I have $100,000 plus of my money in! So you don't think a lab that can tell you EXACTLY what shape your oil is in is any good? :R :S
