RE: what material would work for this?

Try Google or Pinterest search " wall mounted headboard " for design / fabric.

RE: Who writes these headlines?

It's the same people the forced McD's to pit a warning on Coffee cups stating that they were hot, after they won a court case of some one that got their lap burned.
This country is trying to "protect" people from the lack of common sense!
IMHO

RE: Awning problem! All it does is click.

That clicking is the electric brake (in the awning motor assembly) kicking in, 12v releases the brake. If voltage is low the brake will not release.

RE: Who uses a pop-up canopy?

We had one with 4 legs until a big gust of wind caught it and threw it 40 ft. Breaking a part I can't find.
So I looked around and saw a Gazelle 6 sided pop up. I talked with the owner and he said it was great. Easy up and very stable in the wind.
It was a Clam Quick-Set Gazebo/Canopy $$$
I bought a Gazelle gazebo almost identical but cheaper. I've been happy with it.

RE: Pure sine wave inverter suggestions?

Samlex Inverter, a little pricey but a real pure sin wave Inverter.

RE: Heating Cost: Electric vs. Propane

Please remember exchange tanks usually don't have 20# in them! More like 15#.

RE: The price of new trucks is beyond comprehension!

I have invested only $28,000 over my total ownership of pickups!
$2,300 for a well used '98 Silverado
$12,000 for a lightly used '04 F-150
$13,700 for a new 2011 Silverado (only 48,000 miles).
I feel very lucky, but I cannot afford another pickup in retirement!

RE: Aluminum or fiberglass trailer

Look for "azdel" backed fiberglas. Lance is one mfg.
It is resin based, not wood.

RE: Surge protector

Search " Portable Generator open ground " here an rv.net. You should get many hits on what to do.

RE: Surge protector

There is an issue when using a Generator! You will need a special wired adapter to use with a generator!
Make sure you do not get an Open Ground indication, you will need a floating ground plug.
You should be looking at an EMS (Electrical Management System) which does a lot more than simple Surge protector. Yes, they are more expensive, but the value if your electrical system/components is very high.

RE: Suspension hardware

I replaced my suspension with brass bushings and whet bolts about 2 years ago. I also replaced the equalizers with Dexter EZ-Flex equalizer.
Best thing I've done for the camper. It smooths out the ride and lessens the sway when trucks pass.
The suspension kit was from E-Trailer.

RE: Battery Monitor Install

I just did the same thing! It gives quick and easy information.
Hardest thing was tracing the battery negative wire back to the terminal block. Actual time about 1 hr.

RE: Interesting entry steps / stairs.

Looks like mounting hardware would interfere with most RV doors closing.

RE: Preparing to Camp Host

Here in NY Camp Hosts are "State Positions" so politics and paper work to get a spot.
On a plus side, toilet cleaning is responsibility is on SP employees not hosts.

RE: Just bought Truck Camper- how do I move

I did the strap thing, when I brought home my TC, but it was a much lighter TC. From Long Island to Grand Island (Buffalo)
It was white knuckle trip, and would not recommend with a heavy TC.
Maybe with steel I beams under the frame to keep straps/chains away from sheet metal! Old time tie down systems did that, but they went away for reasons.

RE: AGM upgrade

I agree, as I upgraded to "Progressive Dynamics with Charge Wizard" as I lost 2 batteries with short life. Happy so far. I did add a cheap (China) monitor with a shunt to check voltages and amps.

RE: Beech Lane Levelers

I have Anderson Ultimate set, they work great. Less backing up and adding lego blocks. All you have to do is back on to them (set brake, so you don't roll off of them), check level, repeat if not level, and then chock them in place. You can use on one or rwo wheels.

RE: Thought on suspension equalizers

I upgraded my suspension a couple years ago to to E-Zflex and brass wet bolts (OEM plastic bushings were worn through). The difference was amazing!
I don't use sway bars and it cut sway dramatically when trucks passed.
My truck rattles more going over than the TT does going over RR tracks.
