RE: What happened to LSL Products?

RE: Battery Bank Location

1L243 I do agree with CA Traveler, I'd use vented boxes in that compartment, with your sleeping area right above the front compartment I'd be extra cautious, your health and safety are important. The weight issue is also something to take note of too.

RE: We got a new RV

Congrats on the new Toy Hauler! Probably near your water pump will be a hose, mine is clear with a cap that is designed to suck straight from the gallon of antifreeze. There is probably a valve near the hot water tank that you will flip so the antifreeze doesn't try to fill that tank, then you just drain the tank of water before you pump through the lines.

RE: Seat switch

Are there any model numbers on the switch? That might help to locate some others that have swapped with a newer part.

RE: OBD Port F53

Mine was equally hidden away, along with the trailer break wiring. Best way to find it is to take a good dose of Advil, then push the driver seat as far back as it will go, the steering wheel all the way up, then lay on your back between the seat and the dog house (hence the Advil) and look around with a flashlight. As already shared, it should be near the steering column, but it tends to move around on either side.

RE: Lithium crossing the acceptance threshold…

Topic moved from Tech Issues to General RVing Issues as this is not addressing a problem related topic. Tech issues is to for "Discussions relating to your rig, running gear, generators, refrigerators and other rig related electrical/mechanical problems."

RE: 2023 chevy equinox

The ultimate authority is the actual Owners Manual that came with the vehicle. In most cases you can do a Google Search with the year make and model to find one online. But you will want to verify with the actual owners manual of that vehicle to be sure since sometimes the online ones might differ from the actual. Generally speaking you want to look for the section on "Recreational Towing" in the owners manual.

RE: Do you need to sanitize a water tank that's never been used?

Even right off the factory line I'd still sanitize it, but sitting since 2018 I'd be even more inclined to do it.

RE: Preparing to Leave in Hot Weather

Like Lwiddis we load frozen water bottles (that we drink later) into the freezer and the fridge, it does help get the cooling action going. We also us a small fan in the fridge to distribute the air around the fridge better. Our fridge is under our awning so we don't have issues with the direct sun, but when driving in the heat & direct (118° in Kanab, UT) the fridge did struggle until we parked and got the awning open.

RE: Funny water pump leak

In order to post a picture, I need to put it somewhere else on the web, and then link to it, right? I’m not sure where to put it. A fast and easy way to include a photo in a forum post. Just drag-n-drop a photo, and copy-n-paste the image link in your message post. Uploads photos directly to servers. Automatically resizes photos to the max recommended by the Open Roads Forum. Includes a thumbnail preview, and also provides an optional link to permanently delete the photo. The WebApp is available at
