RE: Drill motor for stabilizers

I have a Milwaukee 18V that I already had for my job. If/when it goes, I’m going to Harbor Frieght and buy a $30 cordless drill.

RE: Ram 6.7 fuel filters

Using a Wix filter will NOT affect your warranty.
I’ve used Wix in my 6.7 when I couldn’t find Mopar.
No problem.

RE: “Pathetic quality”: RV dealers are fed up...

Though most RV’s are poorly built, I hold the dealers responsible, too. Too many problems I’ve witnessed in new units could have been corrected by the dealer prior to delivery. Their PDI in many cases is nonexistent.
As stated in the article, “ we sell what we get and move on…” they should add, …”to the bank with big profits.”
RV quality is an oxymoron.
Toyota or Honda should make RV’s.

RE: Towing New Trailer

I had an Equal-i-zer hitch on my first TT.
Now I have a BlueOx Sway Pro hitch on my Airstream. It works well and does what it’s suppose to do, but it can be a ***** to hook up and to un hitch. It came with the trailer. Otherwise I would have gone with an Equal-i-zer.

RE: Best Quality Travel Trailers

I’ve been RVing since high school. Now that I’m all grown up, and retired, I purchased my last trailer. This will be #5. I purchased an Airstream Bambi. It’s an entry level trailer, but the build & construction quality is far superior to any of my previous RV’s. It is also the best towing trailer I’ve ever owned. I was considering a Lance, but the boss, I mean DW liked the Airstream better. It’s not for everyone, but we’re very happy with it.

RE: RV sites near Raleigh, NC

A lot depends on where in Raleigh they are moving. There are a couple of RV parks South of town near Garner. As mentioned, the NC State Fairgrounds offer full hook ups.
The campsites in local state parks offer only water and 30A service with a dump at the entrance. There is an awesome RV resort in Four Oaks called Raleigh Oaks RV Resort, about 30 miles South of Raleigh. Where in Raleigh are that moving?

RE: Opinions on 5th Wheels with Island Kitchens

We had a Columbus 320RS with an island in the kitchen. The nice thing was it was on wheels. This worked out great as we were able to move it as necessary for more room. It was secured when we traveled and never caused a problem.

RE: Yahoo Email Program

I send out emails to over 300 addresses a few times a month. Yahoo limits the number of recipients I can include in an email, so I went to gmail but I still had to break up the lists into 2. There’s a more efficient way, but being lazy, this works for me.

RE: F250 or F350 to Haul a 5th Wheel???

350 dually w/diesel.
1) more stable when towing
2) better resale value
3) more torque which is what you want when towing heavy trailers
4) the computer controlled electronic exhaust braking (aka Jake Brake) is great when towing, especially in the mountains
5) greater payload capacity
6) you can refuel at the 18 wheeler pumps

RE: Air bags for a smoother ride.

I also had Firestone air bags on a 2500 for over 10 years with no problems. I only needed to inflate them to 15 psi when towing, but they improved the ride and stability substantially.
