RE: Generator runs fine, but no electricity in coach

RESETTING CIRCUIT BREAKERS If a circuit breaker in the main power distribution panel of the vehicle or on the genset (Figure 7) trips, either a circuit shorted or too many appliances were running. Note that the genset may continue to run after a circuit breaker trips. If a circuit breaker trips, disconnect or turn off as many loads as possible and reset the circuit breaker. (Push the circuit breaker to OFF to reset it and then to ON to reconnect the circuit.) If the circuit breaker trips right away, either the electrical dis- tribution system has a short circuit or the circuit breaker is faulty. Call a qualified electrician. If the circuit breaker does not trip, reconnect the ap- pliances, one by one, up to a total load that does not overload the genset or cause the circuit breaker to trip. If a circuit breaker trips right away when an ap- pliance is connected, the appliance probably has a short. Electrical appliances and tools must be used and maintained properly and be properly grounded to cause the line circuit breakers to trip when short cir- cuits occur. WARNING Short circuits in electrical appliances and tools can cause fire and electri- cal shock leading to severe personal injury or death. Read and follow the equipment and tool manufacturer’s instructions and warnings regarding use, maintenance and proper grounding. CONNECTING UTILITY POWER A vehicle with provisions for connecting utility power must have an approved device to keep the genset and utility from being interconnected. See the gen- set Installation Manual for more information. WARNING Interconnecting the genset and the public utility (or any other power source) can lead to electrocution of utility line workers, equipment damage and fire. Use an approved switching device to prevent interconnections. LINE CIRCUIT Straight from the manual. There appears to be two reset switches next to each other on the genny.

RE: Any 80mph PLUS - class Aers still on here ?

I try to keep it at 60 but at times I get to 65. If you want to pass me go ahead. It doesn't bother me or my passengers. In fact I rather that than you tailgating us. Fuel mileage drops off quickly after 60.

RE: Tonneau Cover

When we bought our new Tacoma I bought a OEM from Toyota. It is a hard trifold. While not totally waterproof it is nearly so. We like it and would buy it again.

RE: Plans for winter camping?

Winter in the deep south is prime camping time. We will go on a leaf peeping trip and later to the Boston area to visit family. We camp year round but tend to stick to the coastal areas in the summer heat.

RE: Question about freshwater tank use

We always keep water in ours. In winter the cold cuts water off on freeze nights. What do you do for water? When traveling and need to stop for restroom what do you do for water?

RE: A tale of two campgrounds

Could it be because of heavier use in one than the other?
bgum 10/05/21 05:02pm RV Parks, Campgrounds and Attractions

Dumb but true: Friends came to home one evening and asked if I wanted to go frogging. Well since I had never been before (or since) I went. Four adults and two children in boat. We saw a couple alligators and that was when my friend said one can tell the size of the gator by the distance between the eyes. He decided to catch a small one. It turned out to be about four feet long. Naturally he dropped him in the boat and it thrashed around and knocked out all the lights. 12 legs and feet in a boat in total darkness with an angry gator. Well when we finally got the lights back on there was all the adults and one kid in the front of the boat and one 4 year old (sucking his thumb) and the gator in the back of the boat staring at each other.

Gators love dogs because they (dogs) like to be near water and can be caught unaware or they stand at the waters edge and bark at the gator. The gator is so fast that the dog doesn't have a chance to get away. I think they also prefer the taste. None should be allowed in your neighborhood. Eventually a loved one will be attacked.
