RE: Berrings

I wouldn't think brake size would effect size of axle bearings. Did you change axles? What size axle do you have?

RE: Electric Tongue Jack Power Problem

Thanks everyone for the replies. I think I'll follow the advice to hard wire it to the trailer battery. That will be a simple solution. Thanks I would suggest you add an inline fuse if the jack doesn't have one now.

RE: Price differences in water filters

Last time I checked the Berkey (my choice) could not be shipped to California. Government hard at work to protect us from ourselves. Hopefully that has changed and Berkey paid the money to certify what they already know.

RE: Power chords stuck together

I just use Deoxit great. I also use an Autoformer so voltage is always good. X2 Dexoxit is a better choice than di-electric grease. Naolox is a good choice as well. Di-electric is a non conductor but works great in wet or exposed locations.

RE: Stupid question about tires

There are nitrogen pumps but not really affordable for home use. It's a gimmick. Just use that 78% nitrogen that comes out of your air compressor and you will be fine.

RE: Some things never change

And then there's the people who have a fire and the wind blows smoke into my camp, the guy next door who stands out there smoking a cigarette or cigar, then people that have music on their outside speakers or leave their porch light on all night, and the people who walk thru my camp space, kids riding their bikes with loud training wheels, or all the other things that people gripe about. How can anyone enjoy camping? Jeez! Boondock or become a hermit!

RE: Need to get dinette cushions replaced

If it's just the foam and the covers are good you can order foam from here. Good stuff. Foam

RE: Toilet seal lube?

Has anyone tried this Since it's petroleum free and silicone based I bet it would work fine.

RE: Toilet seal lube?

Vaseline is a petroleum product. NO petroleum product should be used on the seal. Try Plumbers Silicone lube or just plain olive oil.

RE: Dutch Oven Italian Style Chicken Thighs

It could be because I'm on a Mac but I can't open video. Says address is bad.

RE: I can't figure out how to use

After clicking on a date with an "A" (available) as your arrival date click on your departure date. That should allow you to continue to next step.

RE: Small wireless laser printer/scanner/copier

I have the HP LaserJet Pro M29W that Gdetrailer referenced above and am very happy with it. Great output, low cost consumables and it does scan in color but only prints in Black.

RE: Forest River Wildwood vs. Forest River Surveyor Legend???

Surveyor makes a bunk house model in the Legend Series. I think you would have to step up to the Wildwood Heritage Glen models to be comparable to the Surveyor. We have had 9 trouble free years out of our Surveyor Select. Wood and aluminum is bound to be heavier to tow.

RE: Pie Iron: Mountain Man Breakfast

If nothing else he should get a Merit Badge for patience. Looked good though.

RE: Battery Storage between trips

Use a disconnect switch or unhook a battery cable.

RE: Refrigerator Too Warm

Have you done the door seal test? A fan in the frig section can help to move the air around. Frig needs 12v all the time when on propane to run control board.

RE: Potentially dangerous mistake in March RV Magazine

With the reviews the magazine has been getting they probably took down their "Contact Us" link.

RE: Sliding Storage tray in the front Pass through

I think those are great but due to the height and space behind I think you lose a lot of space.
