RE: toilet

Clean the seal and lube it with plumbers silicone grease. (nothing petroleum based!) If that doesn't work a new seal is usually not hard to install depending on what toilet you have.

RE: Help with identifying delamination / water damage

I would move on and keep looking. Too many used rv's out there to buy a problem one. Yes, it looks like delamination to me and a lot of it.

RE: Barbecue hookup

Okay I think I have it I need to get a different barbecue that will hook into the low pressure line this barbecue has the high to low regulator and also the temperature adjustment on top of it so I don't believe I'll be able to use this on the camper low pressure line thank you very much
If you tell us what kind of BBQ you have someone will direct you to an adapter that will replace your regulator if one is available. Or at least tell you where to look and what to look for. You may not need a different BBQ.
Here's a place to start: adapters for grill

RE: Your Opinion On Air Bags

I put a leveling kit on my 2005 GMC 2500 purely for the look. Afterwords I would get sag when hooked up which I never had before. To fix that I put on Airlift airbags with the bump-stops. Now I'm level, no sag, and best of all when I hit a dip or bump I don't bounce for 500ft afterwards. Mileage increase..no way!

Reflectix

Just had to replace the Reflectix covers on a few windows. It seems like this new roll is half as thick as the old stuff I was using. Don't know what R rating the old stuff had but this is closer to crinkled tin foil. Old stuff kept the shape of the window after cutting it and this new stuff just rolls back up. Are there different thicknesses of Reflectix or is this just the new and not improved version?

RE: Where is the photos

I belong to a Northern California Chapter of the Good Sam Club. There's about 25 RV's that all camp together. No one in that group that I have spoken to has even heard of this forum. Facebook RV groups seem to be the more popular way to go. Sorry..No Facebook for me ;).

RE: Dometic A/C Capacitors Smoking! Replacement part?

As jkwilson said same number capacitor will work. Brand not important. Capacitors normally store a charge (if yours was smoking maybe not) but make sure you de-energize just in case. Arc between two posts.

Caulk for fender skirts

I need to re-caulk my fender skirts. The screws backed out alittle and made them loose enough to break the caulk seal. I need BLACK.
My choices seem to be:
ProflexRV-
Sikaflex 221
Dicor window and door
I hate to have to buy the big 10oz. tube but it looks like non of them come in a smaller size.
Any recommendations??

RE: PVC roofs

Although somewhat less expensive the TPO is said to hold up better to the elements(heat, cold rain etc.) than PVC.

RE: Battery disconnect - switch or fuse?

This is what I use and I have it on the negative cable without problems. Many will tell you this is wrong and it might be but it has worked on two trailers for 14 years.

RE: Hercules Vs Endurance Tires?

GY is involved in a major recall of motorcoach tires that may have caused 8 deaths.
For a tire that has been out of production for 19 years.. Hardly relevant to anything on the market today.

RE: What is this? Attached to T. V.

Your photo did not show on my screen.
.heic images are created by iPhones. Typically only Apple
hardware/software can read them.
The only PC/Linux software that can deal with them is GIMP. It is free picture editing software, but quite complex.
Easiest thing to do is go to preview on your phone and change it to a jpeg and then post it. Open pic in preview and export it as a jpeg or whatever file type you like to wherever you want.

RE: What size generator to run AC??

I agree with the MicroAir but with the 2200 you won't have much left for anything else. I like the Honda 3500 but if money is an issue many are saying good things about the Predator 3500.
