RE: Roosevelt Lake {NE of Phoenix} is full...

Yes in California we have so much run off right now they've decide to store it in the ocean. We don't need any new dams or reservoirs though ;)

RE: What happened to all the rallies?

Good Sam pulled their support from their chapters so they could give more to their associates. Uh-huh. Most chapters still exist but without the GoodSam name. Here in Central/Northern California there were at least 15 chapters. Some decided to stay with an umbrella group and others voted to go on their own without any affiliation to any larger group. Check FaceBook and other social media for group listings. We are members of two groups. One stayed with the big group and the other is a loner group. Good luck finding a group.

RE: New travel trailer Gulfstream Conquest 323tbr

Not sure where you got your weight info but it seems little high. Although factory numbers are usually low...7500/9800lbs. Either way a 3/4 ton should work for this trailer but I'd never walk away from a 1 ton if it was close in price. Good luck with your new trailer :)

Not sure about pairing batteries of different age but here's a great guide on how to do it correctly...12v side of life 12v

RE: New to Travel trailers

Before you start looking you need to know exactly what your tow vehicle is capable of towing. Dealers will lie to you the minute you set foot on their lot. You must be the one with the info and answers. Do your homework and you will figure out what you need and want. Best of luck. Others will provide more info for you. Post what your tow vehicle is as a starter.

RE: Fuel Ecomony - Towing

Consider adding air tabs. Save your money and buy gas. If vortex generators actually improved fuel economy I think every 18 wheeler in the country would have them.

RE: Fuel Ecomony - Towing

If you are truly getting 10 mpg now I'd say you are an exception. I would not expect any more with a 3/4 ton gas. Maybe 2-3 mpg more with a diesel.

RE: Generator Question

Make your own bonding plug. Quick, easy, and much cheaper. https://i.imgur.com/4vmrWosl.jpg Run a wire from common (neutral) to ground. Close up plug and plug into any 110v receptacle on generator.

RE: Let’s talk biscuits

To add to bgum...a pizza stone on the solid shelf above the burner not covering the holes helps to even the oven heat. People are amazed when the wife will bring out a perfectly baked cake from our rv oven.

RE: Would you get new tires ?

I had a 7 year old Michelin LTX AT2 with 15K miles on it blow at 60mph. It did over $3000 damage to the fender well of my truck and was not a fun experience while towing a 30' trailer. Don't know if I hit something or if it was age related but after that experience I would suggest buying new ones. Don't know about them being good for 10 years but I'm pretty sure after 9 years most tire places will not repair them for a nail puncture.

RE: ebike for a heavy rider?

We have Rad Power Bikes (City 5 Plus). They are great bikes but far too heavy to take with us. My Townie Electra 7 speed (non electric) is a far better choice to take with us. Lighter, comfortable ride with foot forward technology. The smaller, lighter electric bikes that I have seen would not be the answer for your size IMO. Even the bike linked above is 68lbs. That's a lot of bike to transport. Too much for me anyways.

RE: Good Sam credit card opened in my name

I doubt that Good Sam really has anything to do with the credit cards issued in their name. I believe Comenity Capital Bank issues those cards. You might want to contact them as well.

Possible Yellowstone FishingnBridge site available

I just cancelled a 65" site at Yellowstone Fishing bridge for 5 days starting 6/5/2023. Don't know how long it takes to become available but good luck.

RE: Pet Boarding when visiting Disneyland

When the OP said Disneyland I thought Anaheim, Ca. Many people have answered with suggestions for Disney World, FL. Maybe the OP can clarify which one it is. Either place, I agree that Rover.com might help.

RE: CO/LP Detector

I believe that your original "70" series is the only one with a solenoid to cut gas flow. Check to make sure as there could be other series #'s out there that do that as well.

RE: Memphis Bound looking for RV park

Graceland Rv Park is across the street from Graceland. Take the shuttle to downtown from hotel next to Graceland. Parking is difficult downtown so shuttle makes it easy. 6000 mile trip and Memphis was the city we felt least safe in. Be aware of your surroundings. Have fun.

RE: Have just lost Goof, my 13 year old Aussum Shepherd.

Sorry to hear that.. Make sure you ask for an "individual" cremation. Don't know if it's common practice but where we live unless you specify, you will get a group cremation and mixed remains. Again..sorry for your loss.
