RE: US 95 between Needles and Vidal Jct

In June I thought the surface was pretty darn good with out 40' fiver and dually Crew cab. Even the edges that seem to break off seemed good.

RE: US 95 between Needles and Vidal Jct

Came thru about June 7 just like we do then and in the fall. Didn't see anything any different than before.

RE: Nascar Follies

Yes Cloud it was a long time coming. Ran the the Ford Blue Oval on the hood but had a Chev under the hood. And of course Bobby Davis Jr. in the Casy Luna Ford, the Outlaw champion in 1989. Also, one of the all time winning sprint cars on the tough Central Penna. circuit, Bud Grimm's Woodpecker Special powered by Ford. This car sits in the Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Iowa.

RE: Lake Mead recommendations Lake Mead RV Village has been redone in the last couple of years. They did a good job. Boulder Beach also has a no-hook up c/g with nice sites but this time of the year you need a generator for the AC. Willow Bay. This is on the Colorado River below Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. This was also redone a couple of years ago. Most are "banana sites" (pull-thru on an arc). Nice place to put in Kayaks and Canoes. There will be a few people around now but in September when temps stat to drop slightly it becomes busy.

RE: Dental Assistance

Sorry to hear that, Kountryguy. The reason I asked was you can still get dental done in Algodones.

RE: Yellowstone area update

John Burke. nice without the tour busses. Love Bakers Hole, spent 16 days there over the 4th of July. The old story there is "you snooze you lose"!

RE: Onan 4500 watt portable generator ...Anyone tried one yet?

A dealer had them at Quartzite, AZ. last winter at the "RV Show'. Look at the box, memory serves me correctly it said "engineered and designed by Onan/Cummins in Indiana. Made in China. The 2500 was sitting there just purring away until somebody plugged something into it, then you could hear it on up the outside aisle.

RE: How Often Do you Get Skunked on FCFS Camp Spots?

We have never been "skunked". We might have used a backup plan a couple of times always found a hole to crawl into. One key is flexibility. Generator and some solar really makes a difference. We never do reservations.

RE: Pay showers?

It is a wonder there is no credit card reader to use, like in a car wash. Might help eliminate the lack of coins. Haven't seen any for years!

RE: After one day, I am finished.....

Yes and a couple of years ago, Red Roof Inns didn't like something the NFL was doing and they pulled their sponsorship. Who even remembers Red Roof Inns and the NFL is still going strong!

RE: Camping in Rock Springs, Wy--Twin Falls Idaho--Bend Oregon

In Twin Falls, we have used both Rock Creek County Park and the fairgrounds in Filer. A heads up about the fairgrounds. If there is big event going on they usually don't rent out RV sites.
