RE: New RV Park, Idaho Falls, ID.

Sure the cost of development is high, but the there is no need for all the fluff. And there are other suitable options in the IDF area.

RE: US 20 East to West Yellowstone

You will have no problem on US 20. We use it every year between IDF and Island Park and West Yellowstone. Two things to keep in mind. Watch your speed going thru Island Park, as the town limits run forever along US 20. And good reasoning for that is because it is a high use recreation area. Also, if transporting any type of watercraft, there is a check point on the ID. side of Targhee Pass. Do stop as they will run you down for bypassing the the checkpoint. Have a safe and enjoyable trip.

RE: Nascar Follies

They sure are booing Joe Gibbs on social media. Along with nepotism. Not a good look for Old Joe. But is just what Richard Childress needed.

RE: Nascar Hall of Fame - Charlotte, NC

Have not been there myself. but have friends that have been. This is a big drawback for the HOF. Somebody in downtown Charolette got their hands in FRANCECAR's pockets. And they wonder why visitation is down. This should have been built out on I-77 or I-85 for better accesibility.

RE: time to replace brakes?

If you decide to change them out, just get the whole enchilada. Backing plate, magnet etc. They all come together, no springs etc. to screw with. Cut the brake wires, remove the bolts holding the backing plate and just put the new unit on. Check etrailer or another parts house.

RE: ARE THERE ANY SNOWBIRDS ANYMORE?

Yep, snow birding is busy in Yuma, AZ. The usual Pac Norhtwest crowd. But we are seeing many more Ontario, Quebec, and a couple of Nova Scotia plates than usual.

RE: RV park "STANDARDS"

"RV Resort" is the most verbally abused word in the RV park industry. There are no standards, regulations, etc. As long as the sign painter can put it on signage, it's good to go!

RE: 2020 with stain above awning

tourusa, how long have you been in AZ? After being here 20 years, looks like AZ. dust that has settled on roof, etc. When it gets damp, it tends to do what I see in the pictures. Rain can cause it but if enough rain it generally just runs off or collects in numerous places. Reminds me of weak coffee or weak hot chocolate. Have you been up on the roof to check out accumulation of dust?

Mr. Moderator, he said "we find an RV park" and then go from there. So I figured he wasn't set on another mode.

RE: Washington DC Advice Needed

Try Bull Run County Park just off Bull Run Battlefield. Metro station just short up the road. We always used this for sightseeing or ball games in the DC area. Metro is so easy to use.

RE: Twin Falls ID to Las Vegas NV Advice

We do this twice yearly. Out of Ely, take US 6 to RT 318, 318 back to US 93 near Alamo. It is shorter and a pull or two less. Great road, it will be you, some semis', some RVs and some cars. Brings you out at I-15 just north of N. Las Vegas. Just watch weather for Ely.

If you have an outside shower, check to see if the knobs are turned off. If on and the shower head turned off, the head loves to drip.

RE: Awning material replacement questions

I got material from ShadePro for replacement on our power awning. Did it myself. But ShadePro seems to be very well respected in the Yuma and Quartzite and the Southern California areas for good work. Their trucks are all over the area especially during snowbird season.
