RE: Nascar Follies

Can anybody recommend a computer program to decipher the rules and letting fans know just what the heck is going on during the All Star race? Again, they just don't understand the "KISS" theory. And a million to win, a complete joke! Matt Kenseth, Herschel McGriff, and Kirk Shelmerdine into the Hall of Fame.

RE: Ford stops taking orders on the lightening

I read where Ford may make buyers of the Lightening sign a contract that they cannot sell the vehicle for a year after purchase.

RE: 2022 F-150 Can Not install aftermarket brake controller!!!!!

This will probably be the next "subscription" service that manufactures will come up with. Pay for "towing season", then have it knocked off after trailer is parked for winter.

RE: Nascar Follies

Who are your top candidates for the Hall of Fame next month. Watched quite a bit of Martinsville, just a complete joke. And when Jr. showed a picture of a garbage dumpster to describe the race, got a big laugh out of me. Very interesting comments of what drivers had to say after the Martinsville race. Hope Cliff Daniels is ready for inspection problems after he unloaded on the hierarchy. But, so true.

RE: Yellowstone second thoughts.

Durb has it. We usually stay two weeks in the West Yellowstone area. We usually get to the gate by 8:30 or earlier, and go right in. Too many folks stay in the Three Bear Pancake joint soaking in coffee and cakes. Then hit the booth about 10:00. You snooze, you lose! If you're in a rush, don't bother going. Another plus, the last two years there were no bus trips, made it nice. Don't know about this season.

RE: Nascar Follies

Sitting here sort of watching from time to time. Shoot, Figure 8 racing at Islip, NY. never tore up this much stuff. With the next two races being Sin City, and Phoenix, the parts situation could raise its ugly head. It will be interesting to see the music that Goodyear plays this week.

RE: Nascar Follies

It was the same FRANCECAR. Bad product that they try to cover over with a bunch of fluff, ie. LA. But I thought the talking heads were great. Mike Joy is OK, but with Smoke, as a car owner/driver and Bowyer, the driver played off each other very well. They even questioned some things! Unfortunately, Smoke will be missing for a while and Matt Kenseth will be OK. But then onto LV and Phoenix and we get Ms. Auto Racing. Puke.

RE: RVing to Washington DC

When we lived about 90 miles north of DC in Penna. we always used Bull Run Regional Park at Manassas, VA. for ballgames or touring. Great RV park. Metro station and parking just several miles north of park. The Metro is very user friendly and we found the employees were very helpful. There is virtually no parking in the city as everything is leased, stickered, etc. You can waste valuable time looking for parking. Another thing great about DC is most all the important visiting places are free!

Cloud, we know your position on superspeedway racing, what is your take on the LA "show" shorter than short track?

RE: Nascar Follies

Bucky, I must have been watching some other event than you. Seats were available everywhere. Some seating areas, you could have brought your Lazy Boy along. Articles written on Monday mention the attendance.

RE: Yuma private rv spaces

Yuma Craigs List "Vacation Rentals". Not much in the Sun. Quite a few folks just put up signs along Foothills Blvd. Many available. Next Door an internet site for locals here also has ads for lot rentals. But I don't know if you can get on it. Yuma White Sheets every once in awhile has some ads.

RE: Installing a new propane detector

I just replaced our detector last week. The new one came with 2 different adapter plates. The detector screws to the appropriate plate and covers just like the original.

RE: Where are all of the snowbirds?

samsontdog, you are on the money. Grocery stores, restaurants, you name it busy, busy! And thankfully many of north of the border folks are back.
