RE: New to RV’ing....and might not last

I'm sure if you call the nearest rv dealer they would give you an official walk through for a small price, or maybe even free.

RE: Class A Roadside Assistance

Good Sam. We had a fuel leak west of Denver. Long story short, they had a mobile tech diagnose the problem, and then towed to OUR choice for the repair (70+ miles). we were very happy with the service.

RE: Anyone interested in 83 Pace Arrow Tear down and Rebuild?

This is the bath area wall, and the red lines indicate .... (drum roll please)!!!!!! ..... Seriously considering putting a very thin piece of steel there, and probably painting it. Why? I think it would be a nice place to hang different things with magnets. I know sometimes people use a magnet to hold their kitchen knives, and so forth. I was thinking, having a large piece of steel there would allow all kinds of magnetic hooks to be stuck on there. I like that idea.. our last two Moho's had no metal anywhere for magnets. When I saw this it started me looking for a place to do the same.. not quite as big though. I like that idea.. our last two Moho's had no metal anywhere for magnets. When I saw this it started me looking for a place to do the same.. not quite as big though. Since it would not have to be a thick piece, it would not weigh very much. Just need to glue it to the wall to hold it into place. http://paddleupstream.com/mohorebuild/kitcabandshelves4.jpg What do you think? Am I overlooking something here?

damon astoria inverter question

I just took delivery of a 2007 damon astoria pacifica. the manual says that the inverter is active for all ac outlets in the coach, after testing with a small lamp the only active outlets I can tell are the bedroom TV and front TV. It also says the battery management system will shut down circuits as voltage needs change. Is there something I'm missing here? be kind, I'm electrically challenged.

RE: Anyone traveling yet

heading to Chicago this weekend so grandkid can pack up dorm room. then california in two weeks to pick up son and bring home. going to play it by ear. I really hope you find places to stay along your route. Your trip will be something like that encountered by the great depression migration. Something your children will always remember.....and grand kids will think is a fable. Called ahead, we can stay in Hyatt parking lot for $25 in chicago

RE: need a place to overnight in Chicago. UPDATED

never thought of street restrictions. I know they have buses that load and unload in that spot. I'll have to check that out.

trading up to a DP, wondering about fuel program

So I'll be taking delivery of my (new to me) DP this week and have seen some youtube's about this TSD logistics fuel program. Has anyone done this? When I checked out the website they wanted my SSN to sign up. that sort of scared me off. Is it lagit?

RE: need a place to overnight in Chicago. UPDATED

OK, she has quite a bit as she is not returning, that's where the moho will come in handy, lot's of room. I get it, everything is closed. I was hoping for a walmart or truckstop somewhere within about a 20 mile radius. We'll drop her off, go spend the night and return next morning to pick her up. If we can't take moho it will take two cars and a motel. thank for all the suggestions. OK, get on the horn with this Walmart and for hearing what they have to say. Shouldn't be more than about 10 miles or so, from where you need to be.... THANK YOU, will check that out.

Call the school and find out if the school will be open for that semester. Not a sure thing these days. she's allowed to go in alone and pack up her dorm.

I can pull into a loading zone near the door and have her load up but only for the time it takes to load. that's why we will drop her off go spend the night somewhere then return to pick her up.

need a place to overnight in Chicago. UPDATED

going to drop off the granddaughter at her dorm (Roosevelt University) near grant park then return the next morning to pick her and all of her stuff up and return home. We will need a parking lot or truckstop to spend the night while she packs. does anyone know of place where we could safely spend the night. UPDATED... Made the trip, navigated downtown between the EL posts. to the school. tight but doable. then spent the night In Hyatt parking lot about 15 miles west for $25. Was able to park in the street for about 2 hours while she packed up and loaded into the MoHo. Roosevelt university Chicago. Whew!

RE: opinions on 2007 damon astoria 3773

Is it like this one? https://www.rvuniverse.com/listing/for-sale/33049187/2007-damon-astoria-3579-diesel-class-a-motorhomes not 23 yrs old, 13 yrs old. appears to be in good condition as I drove it and looked it over as much as I could in the lot. All I'm looking for is maybe someone that owns or has owned a similar model and how they liked it or the bugs they had with it. I will have it checked out if and when I decide to pull the trigger as I will have 30 days to decide.
