RE: Alcohol Detection Systems in All New Vehicles

Like all other things it's all about the money. Try as they might the IRS can not figure out how to tax dead people. It's a battle between them and the alcohol and drug sellers.

RE: Towing with lifted truck; need assistance

I can not believe all of the nonsense on this post. I have a 2007 2500hd Duramax with a 7" to 9" Cognito lift, and Deaver springs. I tow a 28'6" Vortex trailer that weighs in at 12780 lbs, and a tongue weight of 1340lbs, resting on an Equalizer hitch with 1,400 lb bars. Been towing for 11 years and it is rock solid even in the wind. But you are not a noob with a new toy to learn about. If they can afford a new trailer they can also afford to at least get the truck inspected by a shop trained in lifts and suspensions. There are lots of variances in the quality of lift kits, from pot metal EBay stuff to quality machined components.

RE: Safety: Microwave Fire!

I think that Tim the Tool Man hot rodded that microwave. He told me once 20 seconds was too long to wait for hot coffee.

RE: traction tracks

In looking at some examples of them online I don't see why they wouldn't help. They're cheap and light. A 45 Liberty Coach is one thing, a 24 Class C is another thing.

RE: Nascar Follies

Coy Gibbs passes at 49. May he rest in piece.

RE: Anyone heard of LIV trailers?

My former Yammy 2800i had no problem with a single roof air. I just had to manage other things properly.

RE: 1920's 5th wheel

Is that a funeral car for larger families? Pretty cool whatever it is.

RE: Nascar Follies

Well what a surprise. Driver intros were not aired from Martinsville but I heard the roar of boos picked up on a mic while a interview was going on elsewhere on the front stretch. I've never seen Hamlin speechless before. Chastain's move and the resulting film clip will live forever.

RE: Can you mount solar above vents?

Nobody mentioned the possibility of them being ripped off by a limb or bridge etc. TTs not so much but lot's of 5ers are pushing 13'6"

RE: Nascar Follies

So Ty Gibbs dumps his Xfinity team mate and knocks him out of the final 4. Admittedly there was some beating and banging going on previously. The boy said he did it because he wanted the Martinsville clock. Payback's a beach.

RE: Nascar Follies

I'd love to get a decibel reading when Bubba is introduced Sunday at Martinsville.

RE: More and more instant hot water systems

I'm talking about the cold unused water filling up the waste tanks. Again, A big issue with no sewer dump at the site.

RE: More and more instant hot water systems

If the tankless units don't send the unused water back to the source that's a huge problem with CGs that don't have sewer hookups.

RE: Will I regret this truck?

The truck mentioned is plenty for a fiver in that size range. Have fun! Lwiddis is probably referring to lack of electric at times in AK.

RE: 6.7L Cummins VS 6.7L Cummins HO

That depends on the year model and whether or not a CP4 injection pump is involved.

RE: Un-Even trailer

Bobbo did a pretty good job of it. It's up to the OP now if he or she understands it.

RE: Nascar Follies

NASCAR sat him for one race. Only a blind person would say that wasn't on purpose. Yes Kyle misjudged his ability to stay low enough to avoid the whole thing but Wallace took out another Toyota and Chase contender with his "I don't lift" personality.

RE: Battery Bank Location

Wouldn't 4 6V batteries give you more AHs than your current 12Vs and be enough to avoid the extra tongue weight and relocation?

RE: Heating the Garage

I can be there in a few hours to take care of those pesky IPAs. All kidding aside a permanent solution would be best. Thermostatically controlled would allow ya'll to high tail it whenever you wanted. It's going to take a long time to warm it back up from twenty, set the stat to 40 or so and rest easy.
