RE: My (our) Ultimate Truck Camper Body Build

Outstanding work, and beautiful result. But for full credit, you have to show your design work. (or not, it's the result that counts)

You'll never know --- because they don't report back.

RE: How many amp-hours?

I don’t think you can have too many amp hours. You might also want to think about going Li-Ion so you can run the battery down to a lower percentage. Two good answers here.

RE: Do you drink.......

Always drank tank water for the 11+ years I had the camper. Might have been a big mistake though -- during that time, I got 11 years older.

Today NASA announced the first scheduled launch of astronauts into space from United States soil since 2011. Congratulations, about time, and keep it up.

RE: Your next outing??

You'd be waking up at 2AM to your truck and camper being dragged on the end of a chain by a large 4WD tractor, You do mean on your own property, don't you? Otherwise, things could go very wrong -- quickly.

RE: Possible newbie looking for general info

Some people have used short bed campers in a long bed, leaving room in front of the camper (such as for a fuel tank). But it depends completely on what truck and camper. Where the camper CG sits with respect to the truck rear axle is important. This is ASSUMING the camper weight is reasonable for your truck.

RE: Backup Camera Setup with AND without a Slide-in Camper

I'm probably way off but, I'm looking at a picture of an FWS on a Dodge, and it sure looks like the truck license plate is below the camper extension. If that is true, it's distantly similar to my ex-setup. A camera mounted on top of the plate worked just fine with tc on or off.

RE: Registration Rant

The time is coming soon when I am so outta California. Made that decision in 1998, after 32 years in Ca. Sorry, but I'm not going to tell you my 'new' location. Gettin' crowded here (too).

RE: How is the "new" Outfitter Mfg doing?

The 'new' Outfitter didn't start until early 2019, when Scott Mavis and his company bought them.
