Decal replacement

Anyone have advise on replacing decals that are peeling off on a corrugated aluminum sided travel trailer? Only you tube videos I could find was doing it on smooth sided fiberglass. I assume the aluminum is more difficult than the fiberglass to do trying to get them smoothed out over the ridges and so forth.

RE: Is GasBuddy any use at all now??

In the future they will have to call it Charging Buddy since the automakers want to replace fuel automobiles with electric.

Tank monitor panel

https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91bcD3Li8oL._AC_SL1500_.jpg I have a tank monitor panel like this in my rv and one of the buttons broke. How hard would it be for me to replace it myself with a new one?

RE: Skyline RV forum

Have a 2011 Skyline Nomad Joey 260. Been a pretty good trailer although starting to get some age related issues like awning fabric starting to rot and all the decals are peeling off. Probably upgrade in a year or two. I think Skyline went out of business a number years ago.

Not much posting

Doesn't seem like there is much posting going on in this forum anymore. I can remember the days when it seemed like there were dozens of posts everyday in almost every category.

Panther Creek

Anyone camped at Panther Creek State Park in Tennessee? Looks like a good place for its close proximity to Smoky Mountain National Park. Hope there are no bears there.

Chevy truck forum

Anyone know of a good Chevy truck forum? Something that is setup similar to this one that has different category's and is easy to navigate.

RE: Transmission shudder

Only one reply out of over 350 who have read this post. Interesting, thought it was a more common issue. Anyway, I just had the flush and refill with the new Mobil 1 Synthetic and so far have not felt the shudder. Didn't cost anything to have it done at the dealer. Guy said to give it 500 miles worth of driving to give it time to circulate through the transmission really good. If for some reason it should come back he said torque converter replacement would be next step. Said 99 percent of the time flush and fill solves the problem.

Transmission shudder

Anyone have the transmission shudder issue on their Chevy Silverado with the 8 speed tranny? I think my 2018 has started doing it at cruising speed when going down the highway. Going to have to have it checked out. From what I've read about it a transmission fluid change usually solves the problem. Hope that's all it needs. I seen that there was a TSB issued for that problem.

RE: Anyone have an all elec. car

Don't seem very practical yet, at least for long trips. Maybe way in the future they might be. Plus who wants to sit around at a charging station, if you can find one, for hours waiting for your vehicle to fully charge? A cross country trip would take forever. I'll take my gas powered vehicle any day. Electric might be fine for just in town trips only.

RE: black water tank treatments

Don't you need some sort of enzymes to break down the waste and toilet paper? Sort of the same principle as to why you put rid x in your septic tank at home.

Peeling Decals. What to do.

Who has peeling decals on their RV and just leave it that way even though it looks terrible because the price to have them replaced is too expensive. Mine are peeling off but one place wanted to charge me $135 an hour just for labor. My unit is in fairly good shape otherwise even though its ten years old. Maybe I'll get a new one next year who knows.

Using a roku while camping

Anybody streamed with a roku using hotspot on their cellphone? Was thinking about getting one for camping but didn't know how well that would work.

6.2L

Anybody towing with a 6.2L Silverado? How does that monstrous 420HP do pulling a TT up a mountain?

Gain setting

Recently bought a Chevy truck with the built in brake control. My question is what is the best setting for the gain? I'm towing a 27ft TT.

RE: Want to replace incandescent bulbs with brighter LED

If I did get these to try I'm really torn on the color to get. Warm white seems like it might give a little more homey atmosphere inside the RV. Natural white might be a little less yellowish. I'm sort of hesitant of getting the super white in fear of giving the appearance of a sterile operating room.
