RE: Bad capacitors in my rear TV!!

This is a very common issue with flat screen sets for a few years now. Every brand has this problem. Good Luck

RE: Powering multiple low voltage devices in the truck

I have one of these mounted in the inside bottom of the center console: Power Box It connects to the 12v aux connector in the console. And one of these on the top: Tray I ran long usb to micro usb or c connectors depending on the device under and through the trim pieces on the console and door jambs. My GPS has a 12v plug which had a long enough cord to allow it to be routed under the trim. I am running a phone, GPS( the one in the truck is not suitable for towing), TPMS monitor, rear observation monitor, and a dash cam through all this.

RE: We have a toilet issue......

Toilet bowl seal lube Used this once to rejuvenate a seal. Worked perfectly. I use it when unit is sitting. No more problems.

RE: Hughes autoformers

I use both an autoformer followed by an EMS. With more and more larger units(two or three ac units) in campgrounds, voltage goes low a lot more often than people realize. I feel like I'm protected from both low and high voltage. I couldn't make a choice of one or the other. I use the same setup. Would not be without. Hughes now makes a ems unit as well but I will use what I have until it becomes unusable.

RE: Significant hiatus but I'm back!

A little lube on the points listed in the Equal-i-zer manual with the use of the bracket pads and the noise is pretty well gone.
delwhjr 09/05/20 12:22pm Travel Trailers

Of all the trailers I have had, not one had the speakers wired right!:E The speakers would be cross wired to different zones. They would be wired out of phase and in one case, wires to no-where. I would carefully mark all wires and start from scratch to send them to the right speakers.

RE: The sad part of pet ownership

I am sorry for your pain and hope you and the she can have some quality time for awhile. Our 20 yr old mix has developed dementia and has failing hind legs. She still has some time but it is these times that we must give back to them what they gave us,

RE: Carbon Monoxide/Propane Alarm - Propane Leak?

I had one go bad after only 18 months, so failure is a possibility. They also can go off when the 12v supply is low.

RE: Storing ball hitch

So yes, I would leave the hitch in the receiver. It's one more layer of protection for you and one less thing to deal with when you come and go from your trips. I agree and leave mine installed as well.

RE: Buying from out of state

There are professional inspection services that you could hire to check out the RV before purchase and I'll bet the dealer has a delivery service that could be used. For a $10k difference it would be worth it to me. Inspector Locator

RE: Lynx Levelers -- 10-year warranty ?????

I had one break. Contacted the company and all they requested was a picture of the block. New one sent no charge within days. Did they require proof of purchase and purchase date? I provided that on the first contact before they responded. I only told them the date and where. They did not ask to see receipt. I learned long ago to keep receipts for anything with a warranty no matter how inexpensive.

RE: Ally financial Bank Issues.... Anybody else experience this?

Paying off a Bank note with a Cashiers Check will result in a 10 day hold. Both Chase and BofA have the same policy. Personal Check the same in regards to a deposit or Title pay off. All a Bank will do is state there are funds in the account, but will NOT gurantee that the Check will be honored until the 10 days have passed. Doug That's why I always do a wire transfer now. Instant posting and settlement.:)

RE: Members who have had by-pass surgery.

PS... I was told about needing the bypass a couple hours before it happened...didn't have time to think about it! I heard that!! I had a stress test 4 months before the operation and passed with flying colors. After a trip to the Davis mountains, I called my cardiologist to report shortness of breath while walking. He scheduled an angiogram the next day(bad sign). Just before the procedure he said this will be quick; if we don't find anything you go home in about 2 hours. If we find anything, we will put in a stent and you go home in 5 hours. When I woke up, a doctor was standing next to me looking at a video on the monitor. He looked at me and said "Hello, I am your surgeon and we will be going to the operating room shortly. 100%, 95%, 85% 70% and two of those were in the "widow-maker" My doctor and surgeon were the best and I thank them for being proactive about the issue. During my stay at home a very good friend of mine was visiting and when I told him this he sorta laughed and said "you know as an EMT, I have picked up patients that had heart attacks the day after passing a stress test. You were lucky." I agreed

RE: Ally financial Bank Issues.... Anybody else experience this?

Ally had the loan on a car of mine. It took them 2 weeks to send title after pay off. When I went to sell car a few years later, they had never notified the state the title was clear, so had to play phone tag for a few days to get the information transmitted to state.
