Is this for storage or for living in the C under the cover?

RE: Fish bowl cooling class A

Here's a thought. You have 2 roof air conditioners, I'll assume they're ducted and are in the living area and bedroom area. Your rear a/c thermostat will keep the back cool but will shut off the compressor when it hits the set point. So set your bedroom thermostat at its lowest setting and turn off the vents in the bedroom so that all of the air is sent to the front. On my coach I have 2 Dometic a/c's controlled by 1 thermostat in the front. There is a sensor in the bedroom that controls the rear temperature. If that is unlugged from the rear a/c then it works from the front thermostat. I added a switch so that I can turn it off when I want it to work off the front thermostat. That helps keep the front cooler on hot days.

RE: Fish bowl cooling class A

Try and time your driving so you're not driving into the sun. Let me guess, your coach has dark paint in the front? I've had 2 like that and repainted the current Foretravel with light colors and it makes a big difference. I use a Dewalt battery/120vac fan to more the air on me and keep the shades down as far as I can to keep solar gain off me.

RE: Telecommunications Reform (Cell Phone Service/Biometric Data

Yeah, this won't be hacked just like all of the other data centers that were found to be vulnerable.

RE: attach sunscreen fixtures to the outside of trailer

Make certain you're screwing into the frame and not just the siding.

RE: Mobile Router that will auto connect to Wi FI- RESOLVED

Is it that difficult for a data reseller to list which service it's actually reselling? Point being that att and Verizon work ok in some areas but not in others. Sprint and Tmobile are even less available in remote areas.

RE: What must we do in Colorado?

Just be aware of the closures on Hwy. 50 between Montrose and Gunnison.

RE: Colorado Hwy. 50 road closures

Not trying to keep people away from this area but it is only a 4 mile stretch between mile marker 124 and 127 that is being worked on. The Black Canyon should be accessible from either end. There may be more traffic on Hwy. 92 as that is a designated detour.

Colorado Hwy. 50 road closures

Just a reminder as people are starting to plan their summer travels in and through Colorado. Hwy 50 between Gunnison and Montrose will have an ongoing project with daily closures for 2 years starting soon. If you can it would be best to avoid Hwy 50 through this area. See the below for more info.

RE: New again, remind me

I would put condition and maintenance records at equal or above a floor plan.

RE: Small wireless laser printer/scanner/copier

We keep an HP M15W laser printer in our coach, very small but it is a printer only. Scan and copy works surprisingly well using your phone to take a picture then send it wirelessly to the printer.

RE: Big truck passing

A couple weeks ago while driving the coach back from Florida an 18 wheeler passed and his trailer rear axle was cocked enough so that even though his rig was centered in his lane his trailer tires were riding on the white lane marker. These are the times I wish there was a way to contact him. I flashed my lights but he never noticed.

RE: printer on the road

We've been using the HP M15W for about 3 years now. Always works when we need it and small to tuck away.

RE: HarvestHost......anyone using it?

We're lifetime members of HH and when the weather is nice we stay at HH places along our route. Wineries are our preferred stopover and we've found some that we really like. We recently stayed at the Tallahassee Auto Museum twice. Did the tour the first stop and just spent the night when passing through again. That being said we've never felt pressured to buy anything. On the contrary most hosts are very appreciative if we buy anything from them. We've been to some HH's that the hosts were happy to see us and others where we didn't even see the hosts. Such a variety.

RE: Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper, Alberta

Near Lake Louise try to also see Moraine Lake, somewhat smaller lake with less development and less crowds.

RE: Light Japanese Trucks used as Tow Vehicles here

Years ago I rented a UHaul truck for a 100 mile move. Great, an Isuzu diesel, should get great mileage. By the end of the trip my back and right leg were killing me. Had to keep the darn thing floored to make 60 mph!

RE: Couple of Routes in Colorado

FYI Hwy 50 about halfway between Montrose and Gunnison will have major construction for 2-3 years beginning this April. It will be closed except for the following times: 2 hours in morning, 1 hour at noon, 1 hour in the afternoon. Then will be open each weekend. It will be best to avoid that area except maybe for the weekends.
