RE: Aqua Hot & Residential vs. non-R - seeking Info, Dinette too

To add to this Aquahot also has an electric heating element to provide heat and hot water. Not as much as the diesel burner but in our Foretravel it is usually adequate down to 40ºF for hot water and heat. But there is maintenance required for the diesel burner so make certain there is adequate access.

RE: Buying an AC online??

I recently bought 2 Furrions from and they sat on my order for 2 weeks before shipping. Each time I called I was told something different. When I placed the order the salesman said everything was in stock. I even had to buy 2 inside grills from PPL and pay for 2 day shipping to complete my install because CW told me those were now on 2-3 week backorder. Surprised when 1 showed up a couple days later. CW needs to get their act together. A friend who ordered the same a couple days after I ordered received his complete order in about a week.

RE: low price Li batteries

Thanks pianotuna, just edited my post. That makes it more desirable especially if having multiple batteries.

RE: low price Li batteries

Looks interesting, great price unless shipping cost is high. I emailed the distributor in Arizona a couple questions and he expects stock in 2 weeks, warranty will be with SOK, hopefully won't have to send/receive from China. The charge rating is 50 amps/battery so charging might be slower than Battleborns or others, but with solar or alternator charging could work out just as well. Only time it could be an issue is with inverter charging but you can set the max charging amp on inverter. It would just take longer for a full charge. Not a problem if plugged in but if on generator would mean longer generator run time. Depends on your usage. If the BMS limits the incoming charging amps that could protect your alternator from overworking. 7 year warranty is good especially if a USA distributor can handle any exchanges. If they have to come from China that could be a problem with time and shipping costs. I like the open case design, makes it user serviceable if needed.

RE: Class C RV cost in the Covid era...

Yep, the next few years will be interesting as RV's sit unused. And when they do get used things will break from sitting. Then the market will be flooded with LOTs of units needing LOTs of maintenance. Then campsites will become more available and we can continue our travels as before. I do feel sorry for those who bought thinking it will be easy to get their money back.

RE: Best/Favorite RV Resort

A few suggestions along I-10: Bella Terra, Pandion Ridge, both in Gulf Shores, AL French Quarter Resort in downtown New Orleans Buckhorn Lake Resort in Kerrville, TX But like mentioned above a lot of campgrounds use the name Resort but are just plain campgrounds.

RE: Interstate highway conditions

With current technology available today it would be a simple software project to have an EV report how many miles and/or how many watts of electricity they are using. Then they can be taxed like everything else. BUT how that tax revenue will be used is the problem. And not to defend our roads here in Louisiana but our ground foundation especially in southern Louisiana is not like other states. We don't have bedrock or sand to build on so regardless of the type of roadway it will never be up to other state's standards.

RE: Fish bowl cooling class A

Here's a thought. You have 2 roof air conditioners, I'll assume they're ducted and are in the living area and bedroom area. Your rear a/c thermostat will keep the back cool but will shut off the compressor when it hits the set point. So set your bedroom thermostat at its lowest setting and turn off the vents in the bedroom so that all of the air is sent to the front. On my coach I have 2 Dometic a/c's controlled by 1 thermostat in the front. There is a sensor in the bedroom that controls the rear temperature. If that is unlugged from the rear a/c then it works from the front thermostat. I added a switch so that I can turn it off when I want it to work off the front thermostat. That helps keep the front cooler on hot days.

RE: Fish bowl cooling class A

Try and time your driving so you're not driving into the sun. Let me guess, your coach has dark paint in the front? I've had 2 like that and repainted the current Foretravel with light colors and it makes a big difference. I use a Dewalt battery/120vac fan to more the air on me and keep the shades down as far as I can to keep solar gain off me.

RE: Telecommunications Reform (Cell Phone Service/Biometric Data

Yeah, this won't be hacked just like all of the other data centers that were found to be vulnerable.

RE: attach sunscreen fixtures to the outside of trailer

Make certain you're screwing into the frame and not just the siding.

RE: Mobile Router that will auto connect to Wi FI- RESOLVED

Is it that difficult for a data reseller to list which service it's actually reselling? Point being that att and Verizon work ok in some areas but not in others. Sprint and Tmobile are even less available in remote areas.

RE: What must we do in Colorado?

Just be aware of the closures on Hwy. 50 between Montrose and Gunnison.

RE: Colorado Hwy. 50 road closures

Not trying to keep people away from this area but it is only a 4 mile stretch between mile marker 124 and 127 that is being worked on. The Black Canyon should be accessible from either end. There may be more traffic on Hwy. 92 as that is a designated detour.

Colorado Hwy. 50 road closures

Just a reminder as people are starting to plan their summer travels in and through Colorado. Hwy 50 between Gunnison and Montrose will have an ongoing project with daily closures for 2 years starting soon. If you can it would be best to avoid Hwy 50 through this area. See the below for more info.
