RE: Cleaning Black AC cover and other black items

303 is a very good product but I think it works best to keep it from fading in the first place. If it has already faded. The 303 will make it look black as you found out,but won't last long. Once it faded I think you will need to paint it or replace it.

RE: Is camping Fun Anymore

We camp mostly in our Pennsylvania state parks and never have a problem. If there is a issue i'm sure the rangers would take care of it quickly. All the state parks I have stayed at by 10 pm you can hear a pin drop.

RE: Towing Travel Trailers

I tow about the same size trailer with my F350 and I have no issue with sway,I do feel the push when being passed by large trucks. It is more of a suck then push feel, that is called the bow wave effect, and you will always feel that to some degree. With a proper sized truck and a properly set up w/d hitch you will have no problems. For that size trailer I recommend at least a 250/2500 and up series truck.

RE: New Truck 4x4 or 4x2 ??

4wd LOW RANGE is nice for placing RV on high blocks or backing up steep grade. It takes a lot of stress off the trans. Just DON'T be turning on solid ground as it can cause damage of the front axle if the tires can't sip. My 98 RAM I added a 4 low axle disconnect that allowed the rear tires to be in low range, that was NICE!!! That is one thing about my old F-250 It did not have the auto locking hubs only manual. If I needed low range all I needed to do was put the lever into the 4 low position, had low range without the axle bind.

RE: New Truck 4x4 or 4x2 ??

If you don't need it get the 4x2. I will say that my truck can get stuck on wet grass in 2wd. Where I live you will have a hard time finding a 2wd truck on any dealer lots, and if you was trying to sell one you would have a real hard time selling it.

RE: sticky slides

Do not put any oil based product on your rubber slide seals, it can destroy your seals. As DRSmart I also use 303 it works great. Spray silicone will also work.

RE: Slide - In or Out

As long as the trailer is set up and leveled there is no harm done in leaving the slides out. Unless there is a chance of getting snow or ice build up on them.

Lighting suggestions for rv building

Hi guys I had a rv storage pole building built that is 40x16 and wall height is 15 feet. It has 3 sides closed to the ground. I want to install some lights inside so it is not so dark in there when tring to back in. I am unsure of the type of lighting that would work the best for me,I don't plan on working in there just need some lighting for when backing in and when I need to get into the rv. Thanks for the help.

RE: Just bought my first travel trailer

If you go with the diesel skip the 2500 and go with the 3500 the diesel engine is heaver than the gas engine. So the 2500 with the diesel will have a low payload capacity

RE: Just bought my first travel trailer

I would also suggest at least a 250/2500. If you are going with a Ford and buying new get a F-350 SRW they are only a thousand of so more than the F-250. I had a 14 F-250 with the 6.2 gas motor pulling the trailer in my signature and now my 16 F-350 with the 6.7 Diesel. The 6.2 is a great engine and pulled the trailer ok, but the diesel pulls it much better. I will not go back to a gas engine.
