RE: Okay How many RV'ers here use CB-Radio's?

My super C on a Freightliner chassis came with a Cobra CB. Changed the antenna to a no ground plane and it seems to work pretty good Just installed a new 40 Watt Midland GMRS radio, after receiving my license first. The 1/4 wave antennas are only about 6 inches tall. So far I really like it and should come in handy when we caravan with friends.

RE: Inverter ?

Mine is always on unless I turn it off. It is also a "pass through" inverter. On shore power 120 volts AC passes through the inverter to several outlets. When shore power or the generator is turned off the inverter takes over until the batteries give out.

RE: GFCI Issue looking for a solution

If they reset and trip right away then that's a problem somewhere. If they will not reset, then either faulty GFCI outlet or no power. Take off the plate and test for voltage.

RE: RVP roof air. Starting to through breakers.

What is the voltage where you are parked? If the voltage goes down enough the amps will go up.

RE: Black tank dump plumbing replacement?

If you want to patch the cracks I have had good results with Plasti Mend on my black water tank. It chemically melts the tank and makes a new layer.

RE: help with electrical question

How about a 50 amp adaptor that splits the feed into two 30 amp outlets. That way each coach can use up to 30 amps which is plenty and no way to overload.

RE: trading up to a DP, wondering about fuel program

The Love's in North Houston has diesel for $1.404 a gallon with the EFS/TSD card. And with the Love's app I don't have to go inside. I can turn on the pump from the seat of my motorhome. If you buy diesel you can save a lot of dough with the card.
