RE: Best cell phone provider?

About the cheapest service out there is Visible. It is owned by Verizon thus it uses Verizon towers. If you join their Party Pay plan the total cost is $25/month for unlimited everything including hotspot use. Their cheapest phone is $50. You may be able to use your present phone.

But is Visible's service, like all 3rd party resellers, deprioritized?

RE: Advice on Best Type of Internet

Starlink has just introduced a "roaming service" option that lets you move from place to place for an extra $25/mo with no caps. That makes the monthly fee $135 plus the $599 initial equipment fee. The roaming service is only for stationary use though, not mobile use.
note: "not mobile" means it's not to be used while you are in a moving vehicle.

RE: ATT MIFI

"Bars" don't tell the story anymore, especially with data. Do your research and you will understand why.

RE: Mobely / 3G shut down????

The last thing I read said that the Mobley itself would no longer work. BUT, the Mobley account SIM that's already in another device MIGHT continue to work.
Guess we'll find out in a few more days!

RE: Play back content to laptop via HDMI?

I have an Android streaming box and I connect it via HDMI to my TV. I would guess you could do the same thing connecting it to your laptop.
There may be some software required to run on the laptop to accomplish this? Ask the person you purchased the Android streaming box from.

RE: Dell Laptop Touch pad issue

When my Dell laptop started acting up, the problem was a swollen battery. The battery lies beneath the touchpad and can cause it to behave wonky.
Rub you fingers lightly over the touchpad and feel if it is completely flat. If you feel any degree of it being raised, you probably need to replace the battery.

RE: RV Park Wi-Fi Issues

That may help a little, BUT if they have too many users for the amount of bandwidth they have, it will be slow everywhere.
To see if the park's available bandwidth is the problem, run speedtests before everyone gets up, and after most have gone to bed (if you're a night owl), and during peak usage times. Run the test 3 consecutive times and average the results at the various times.
To do the test on your phone, turn off cellular (so you're not testing your cellular speed) and go to www.Speedtest.net On your laptop, simply attach to their WiFi and run the same tests. Note that the speedtest is .net - not .com
