Does the State of TN title truck campers?

When we bought our Northstar in 2018 we, or the dealership,I can't remember, paid the sales tax to the state of TN. I assumed at that point TN generated a title and sent it to the lein holder, Bank of the West. However, we just sold it and paid off the bank who then sent us a letter of proof of the same, but no title. Instructions with the letter said to take it to the tag/title office in TN for a title. The clerk could find no record of the existence of the camper, and could not make or find a title stating that it was not a vehicle. Anyone run into this? The new owners are expecting title. Any experienced counsel in this matter would be appreciated.

Dually swing out Jack not locking into position?

Once the tc is sitting on the truck and the dually swing out jacks are no longer supporting the weight they should fold in and lock close in and parallel to the bed of the truck. To release them to swing out again involves pushing a spring bolt on the bottom of the hinge. Just recently one of mine stopped clicking into the locked position when pivoting it inward, as before. Do I need to loosen or tighten the spring bolt? Or what do I need to do to keep it from flopping around and hitting the truck when driving?

RE: Airstreams and compressor fridges?

Thanks for sharing this. Seems like it could be a viable option in the future.

RE: Airstreams and compressor fridges?

Also, did you still retain the 120v operation option or is it now strictly dc only?

RE: Airstreams and compressor fridges?

Ok, was this a relatively easy dyi project? And what was your primary reason for switching over?

RE: Airstreams and compressor fridges?

Can you tell me more about this conversion unit. I'm not familiar with this and how it's applied, or incorporated into an existing absorption refrigerator. Thanks

RE: Airstreams and compressor fridges?

Yes I will ask there too, thanks. Does anyone know the comparison of amp draw between the 2?

Airstreams and compressor fridges?

Does anyone own an Airstream trailer with a 12v DC only compressor fridge with the Danfoss compressor, such as in a Norcold or Dometic? If so, how did you accomplish this? They are currently installing the 2-way DC/AC, no propane units. I'm hoping to have ample solar and one of the Danfoss compressor DC only fridges in my Flying Cloud 23FB when I take delivery a year from now, even if they install no fridge, only the space for it, and order the other one separately, and have the dealer install it. However I'd have to know the model # to match the size. If anyone can help me out with this I'd appreciate it. I currently have the compressor fridge in my truck camper with solar and it works great, even recently in Madera CA at 115 degrees. Thanks

RE: Airstream Nest battery, fridge, solar question?

Is solar widely available on Airstreams?

RE: Airstream Nest battery, fridge, solar question?

Is anyone specifically familiar with the Airstream Nest? Are we meaning the fridge has a 12v DC Danfoss compressor? There are no louver vents on the outside wall of the camper. And do these Nests typically come with lithium batteries since they are high end trailers?

What is a solar suitcase?

Airstream Nest battery, fridge, solar question?

Anyone with a Nest, how do you like it? I'm curious about the fridge and power supply situation. It appears to be a 12v only fridge, not a compressor fridge? Also there's just 2 batteries and no solar? How is that possible to keep the power caught up for that kind of use? Even if the batteries are lithium?
