RE: Fuel Tank Refurb

Just put an extra fuel filter on it before it gets to your generator. You can do the same thing at the pump side. Just Google "fuel pump hose filter". And inline fuel filter. He's not talking about that tank.

RE: Tracfone Top Up from Canada

They let me put mine on hold. I'll update it if we can travel this winter.

RE: Mobile Router that will auto connect to Wi FI- RESOLVED

I used to have a WiFi Ranger that was comprised of a router with custom software and a Ubiquiti Bullet amplified antenna - it was supposed to do exactly what you're looking for though I found it a bit flakey. The router croaked so I replaced it with a regular router / AP. Connected through the AP, it's possible to login to the Bullet. It has several screens that tell you about the quality of signals available. Easy to login from there. Manual connection, but easy and robust. I don't have / need a phone hotspot.

RE: 50 amp RV outlet

This is the RV receptacle I bought at Home Depot. They should know what it is because it's on the shelves in the store as are others. RV 50A receptacle at Home Depot

RE: Microsoft Office for FREE

Yeah, it looks like it's a phone thing. No use to me. I use Open Office on my PC and Google Docs when I'm collaborating online. I have a full installation of MS Office but I don't use it.

RE: DVD and Blu Ray being discontinued?

I have three VCRs in good working order. I'll be able to watch pre-recorded tapes.

RE: Need new tires

I put Sailun G tires on my tri-axle, not because I needed it for the weight ratings but because they were the best bang (no pun intended) for the buck. Check the rims to make sure they're 110psi rated. BTW, I bought the tires through Wally World - turns out the Sailuns are too heavy for their tire mounting machine. Had to take them elsewhere.

RE: New Border Regulations

Ed White: be sure that many of us are lobbying for the same rules at land crossings as airports. Not nasty, but seeking consistency. $2000 pp for your wait at the border. Welcome home.

RE: New Border Regulations

So the snowbirds who cleverly skirted the closed border will be inconvenienced on their way home? Boohoo! says one who stayed home:)Yeah, I stayed home too. I have ENORMOUS sympathy for those clever people who broke the rules and are now paying the price getting home.

RE: Another article on Snowbirds, or the lack thereof

he tells me he's acquired the product and is just waiting for Dec 21What's the significance of Dec 21? The border will stay closed for probably another 6 months (less if the immunizations roll out faster than expected).

RE: Another article on Snowbirds, or the lack thereof

I read where some Canadians are hiring truck drivers that can cross the border for work to transport their RV to a nearby location in the U.S. and then they fly to the U.SWe know two full-timer couples who have done exactly this. I have some sympathy for them as they would not have a place to live in Canada in the winter. No sympathy for those who have a Canadian S&B and fly south anyway. We're not going south this winter for the first time in many years.

RE: pure sine wave 1000 watts! but only 500 watts per plug

The last reviewer said the manual was wrong. Not the same thing, but I have a cheapie MSW inverter that I took apart to look at the receptacles - they are wired in parallel. I guess that's the only way to tell for sure how much power each will deliver. Cheapie inverter has worked well for me for 7-8 years now. Enough juice for 2 TVs and stereo. Will charge laptop PC too. That's all I need - why pay more?
