RE: trailer quality

Oliver and Lance come to mind. You could also check out Airstream if you can live without a slide....we can't.

RE: 2000 Fleetwood Mallard 29s water heater question

Mitch is correct...2 switches. An issue I've ran into twice over the years is paper wasps. They love taking up residence in the gas orifices which prevents ignition. A possible culprit if you've located the switch and still no flame.

RE: Sway bars

On our 4th trailer and my tried and trusted Reese DC has been on each one of them. Currently tow a 30ft 7700# trailer with a F250 7.3 gas and won't leave home without a WDH.....For the safety of myself and others.

RE: [email protected] 400 -- comments by those who've seen it??

This is all I can offer as an uneducated. My sister and her husband recently purchased the Tab 400 and spent 2 months out west. Came home and talked about the scenery and the trout fishing but never a complaint about the Tab. They pulled 4300 miles with a Toyota Tacoma and I'm still yet to hear anything negative. The wife and I do much the same but prefer at least 30ft of trailer......enjoy.

RE: Tank treatment that can restore sensor accuracy?

On our 4th trailer and the sensors never worked fulltime. Now that it's just the wife and I, not a big deal.

RE: How to prevent Keirig from freezing??

Run some RV antifreeze through it. JK Why would you be staying in motel rooms when you're pulling a place to sleep with a furnace ? The coffee maker would be the least of my worries if my fully stocked trailer was subject to freezing temps. If you must and talking one night stays, simply set your furnace on a low setting " above freezing ". One night on a low setting will not kill a charged DC battery....I've done it.

RE: Plugged in or out

Trailer is fully stocked and heated all winter and is plugged in 24/7.

RE: I Winterized ............. but then this happened.

You can order the seal and install yourself but may have to do some fancy camera work behind the toilet to get serial #, what I had to do. Once a seal goes dry, they expire.

RE: New GMC 2500 Wont Engage Trailer Brakes

Wow,certainly frustrating and something I've yet to hear of. Perhaps cheaper in the long run to install an aftermarket brake controller. Have you invested in a brake tool to verify pad spacing. Possibly the trailer and not the truck.

RE: Ref freezes everything

She probably knocked the thermister off of the cooling fins. Clip it back on it will be good to go. The likely culprit. But an expendable wife may also be worthy of exploration.

RE: Removing built up sealant?

Actually own a heat gun with a low setting that does the trick. I also tape off before reapplying Dicor.

RE: Getting my trailer settled for the winter

I park in gravel over the winter and have done so for 30+ years without any issues. I've not erected the stabilizers though but see nothing wrong with your regime Sometimes we overthink.

RE: Ford Gas 6.2 vs 7.3

I also have the 7.3 with 3.55 gears and wouldn't trade it but tow quite a bit.

RE: Do I need my WD bars just to move in the driveway?

We just recently moved a 35ft trailer with a 2001 Jeep Wrangler, entertaining. You should be fine.

RE: No heat / Furnace not working

Each time I've had a furnace failure, had to replace the sail switch.

RE: My TT ain't so great for winter camping....

Even our 4-season trailers were nothing to brag about in freezing temps. Winterize and make it work is a viable option. Oh, glad you're enjoying yourself.

RE: How could this be?

If you just bought it, I’m guessing the outside temp is lower. Lower temps increase fuel mileage! I believe it to be the opposite, better milage in warmer months. Imo

RE: water heater

Element meets it's demise quickly when turned on without being surrounded by water. Perhaps the switch is not turned on. You'll also have a switch on the inside of trailer for the Propane.

RE: Add Awning To Slide?

Another option is a telescoping latter and a swiss broom....I'm being serious. We've had trailer's with slide toppers and those without and prefer those without. After owning a trailer with slide toppers for duration " 10 years " I've come to the conclusion that sweeping off the top and treating the seals trumps fighting mildew and dry rot seals. Our latest trailer has no toppers over the slides and we leave slides out year around.....much preferred. Ymmv
