RE: breaker keeps blowing

Your problem was likely the extension cord, try a 10 gauge cord next time. Underrated extension cords create excessive heat and trip breakers.

RE: Blow-out ...

Reminds me of close friend who is the epitome of preparation. He has onboard air compressor, air tools, patch kits, you name it he has it. I always feel more confident towing with this guy.

RE: Do ice cubes in the black tank really work?

I've heard that for years. Was under the assumption that folks mainly used the ice when the gauge quit working and must be driving for it to be effective. Personally have never tried it but do add a couple gallons of water and Dawn dish liquid after dumping the black tank. It's been a very effective method for many years.

RE: is forest river rockwood mini2506s a good buy

I'm not sure any trailer is considered a good buy as one must have disposable income and realize the rapid depreciation. Forrest river like Keystone are big players in the RV industry and have access to much better materials today than years past. We're on our 4th new trailer and each one has seen significant improvements. It's the pace that they are assembled that gives them a black eye. Do a thorough inspection, have trailer hooked up to AC, water system pressurized, live in it for a little before driving away with it. Our latest trailer " Keystone Outback " appears to be well made but still spent an entire day tweaking, adjusting and hand tightening fittings. A new trailer is justified if you thoroughly enjoy the lifestyle as we do.

RE: rbw slideout parts ( orphan ) gears again

I'm only good with cable slides because I understand the format but won't attempt to rebuild teeth. Lol

RE: Wider stance wheels

The wider stance mitigates sway.

RE: Solid Step Leg Adjustment

I think it's a huge pain with a stiff back. Dealt with it for quite awhile then finally filed the end to a point, much better. Well made steps otherwise.

RE: Problems with past RV Parks you've stayed at?

The wife and I have been camping long enough that most places we go we've already been there and know what to expect. BUT,this one particular CG that we visit often, renovated the sites using chip and tar.....we got that stuff all over the inside of trailer. Another thing that leaves me questioning.....why do some back in sites have the hookups on the living side of trailer ?

RE: Flashlights

I'm a hunter so have a plethora of flashlights and headlamps.....anything from 30 lumens up to 7000 lumens. Much prefer headlamps, have several in the trailer and once the sun goes down, keep one on my head.

RE: New Trailer Quality Control

Probably not a good time to buy a trailer, manufacturers are way behind because.....(1) shut downs, (2) everyone is buying trailers because of vacation cancellations and cabin fever. My 80 yr old FIL bought a trailer and has never camped before, has nothing to pull it......recreation is promoted and everyone's in. Lol

RE: Black Water Accident

I have a black tank rinser on latest trailer but have yet to use it. Never had it on previous trailers and never needed it. Indeed a great concept but keeping black tank wet works marvelously.

RE: refer stopped working on gas

Had it happen twice over the years and both times it turned out to be a paper wasp built a nest in the orifice.....had to dig it out with coat hanger.

RE: Outdoor Kitchens

Thanks for all the replies! I was concerned about external leaks, but after seeing the coach........... We ended up buying the Coachmen RV Freedom Express Ultra Lite 259FKDS. It’s a beautiful coach and seems to be VERY well made. Travel Safe! TD Wife and I really really liked that trailer, nice kitchen area and King bed. Great floor plan and likely would have been our trailer had we not opted for double entry doors. Enjoy

RE: sway

Good advice already. Here's mine......in the spring of 2021, order a 3/4 ton and rest peacefully.

RE: Frig in Outdoor Kitchen

All the outside kitchens we looked at were AC only. We also ran into another issue, wanted double entry trailer which in most cases negated outside kitchen, especially the floorplan we liked. Park someplace relatively level and bump the slide out, see RVers do it all the time.

RE: Small rear slide travel trailer

Good advice here. Definitely look at the 21OURS.....Plus the newer Outbacks have great interiors.

RE: Fibreglass wall laminate separating??

First thing I'd do is inspect the roof to eliminate the issue before proceeding with repairs.

RE: House Water Pump needs assistance priming

I've not heard of a water pump requiring priming before operation. Does the system have good pressure once primed ? Hot water bypass valve closed ? If you have a pump converter kit used for winterizing, ensure that the valve is fully closed.

RE: Black Water Accident

It now will become much easier to remember to lubricate the exterior valve rod with full hookups. Lol

RE: Storing with blank tanks 1/4 full???

Oh wow, the wife and I have been backyard camping for 20 years using the toilet. Many times it goes 6 weeks before we make it to a campground to dump, no odors, no issues. 2 years ago I forgot to dump black tank while winterizing, 1/4 full all winter, no issues. It's just a black tank.
