RE: New Stereo/cs-dvd unit install

CD/DVD you’re kidding right? Why would anyone throw away the older things that you like and have paid for just to get some new version that would cost a bundle of money for something that that is just a replacement and not better quality? Mike

RE: Installing a new propane detector

I just bought one that had the same model # as mine but the dimensions in the ad said it was way longer then my old one, but when it came it was the same. I think they have people measuring them that can't read a ruler. Mike

RE: CD player hookup

You might try one of these CD players. Video That is pretty much what I was trying to do with my Panasonic. A bit spendy. Thanks. Mike

RE: CD player hookup

There is only one 12V hookup in that truck, and it is up by the windshield on the dash. I have to use that for my GPS. That truck has evolved way past my equipment. Thanks. Mike

RE: CD player hookup

Thanks, instead of going to much more trouble I think I will stick to the AA solution, or I could go to the trucks radio satellite. More expense though, and you cant pick who you want to listen to. Mike

RE: CD player hookup

Thanks for the answers, I didn't want to try going to the thumb drives, there are just too many of them and not enough time left in my life to transfer them. It sounds like I would be better off just keeping a supply of AA batteries on hand, and use it that way. It works fine that way. Thanks. Mike

CD player hookup

I recently bought a 2019 Ram 2500 TCD and in the truck there is no CD player. I know I am an old timer. I have a Panasonic Cd player that I can hook into the auxiliary hookup and play through the radio. I also have USB ports that I found have 5.1 volts power. It would be nice to hook the external power port on the Panasonic that they have labeled for 4.5 volts to use for the power to not have to replace batteries. When I hooked a cord to it I got a loud hum and chickened out and pulled the plug. I did still have the batteries in the Panasonic though. What I want to know is can I do this without messing something up? Thanks. Mike

RE: BEV as a toad behind diesel pusher

Well, going to a recent back post, I looked up BEV and BEV/RV on google to no avail. I guess I'm just too old to know what people are talking about anymore. Mike Good morning. A BEV is a battery electric vehicle. Thank you.

RE: Keeping fridge doors shut while traveling

I used 4 screw in eye bolts, two top and two lower and just put a bungee cord across top and bottom. Stays closed fine then

BFL13- That did come down to 13.6 a float charge an hour or so after. It seems back to normal after. Mike

RE: Inverter problems-a bit long

Thanks for the answers, it looks like I just don't have the battery capacity to make a TV dinner without hookup, which I don't have out in the woods, and no space for more batteries. So I guess it is just in the oven , even on 100 degree days. I would have thought the generator would have enough power to take care of the problem. I had a 1000 W Yamaha that I didn't think would be strong enough so I got the 2000 W champion which is heavier so more trouble, and still doesn't come up to the task. I guess I will just have to do what I can do. Thank you. Mike
