We just stopped by and bought some when inroute from Yuma from NW. Saved us a lot of $$$. Might be closer to you? Not even sure if they are still in business? There is also a manual online (or used to be) that has pretty good instructions for repair. RE: Sea Foam stabilizer

I see "former rental club" in your signature. In the long rental post I posted what happened to me after using Sea Foam. A search here doesn't turn up in searches over 12 months old. Hopefully you won't have same problem, but beware. And maybe RV units are manufactured differently now compared to my 2013 model. I don't think any rental place adds seafoam to their units, but no surprise there. I added some seafoam and within 200 miles injectors got plugged up. Of course when this happened I had no idea what was going on other I thought maybe fuel filter was bad, even though I changed every filter and fluid on the thing right after buying it. Sorting out the problem...Talking with an injector business called Dr injector and a retired school bus mechanic neighbor next block over. here's my reasoning. When these things are made, the installation of the fuel line goes from gas tank to generator, holes are drilled in top of fuel tank for the generator fuel line. Those drill fillings fall to the bottom of fuel tank. but newer units are plastic, and don't know if material of tank makes a difference. My tank is alum After years of being sitting at bottom of fuel tank they sort of get stuck. Add something to clean the system such as seafoam and they get unstuck and get sucked up in fuel line and make there way to the engine fuel filter and plug it up. Then the fuel filter goes into "bypass" mode and then plugs of the injectors. More specifically the little tiny screens that some injectors have (such as my 5.4 ford triton.) Injectors at the time $75 each or spend about 4 hours with a bright light and twizzers and magnifying glass picking out junk. Does not include time learning how coil over plugs work and getting to injectors removing and installing back in. What I would do...put on new fuel filter now , engine and generator (if generator has one) then change first 100 miles, then every 150-200 miles for about 1,000 miles, and carry a spare filter and (if Ford, those fuel line wrenches about $15.00)

RE: electrical question, how to make clearance lights blink

Why? RV Park Rave. width=400 Op here.....I'd be so happy if that was our problem. Here is our situation. Wife has been in hospice (in home) for about year and half. About 8 months ago google and other map makers made a mistake and renamed our street, so people trying to find our house by GPS can't. Looking down our long drive way, the top of trailer is visible from the street. So I thought flashing lights on trailer might help guide these directional challenged into our place. (A flashing bicycle light on top of the fence is not tall enough to been seen from street.) Seems like 2 or 3 times a month she needs medical care after hours. Between the "after hour traveling" nurses and nurses that English is second of even third language; they can't follow verbal directions. We have submitted a street correction to google maps and other map makers. No response over 6 months now. Had to get a $280.00 UPS store P.O. box on order to get her medical supplies from fed ex, amazon etc. So just one error of misnaming a street has created ton of problems for us.

RE: Multimeter recommendation?

Good question. When faced with the same dilemma I ended up with about a $300 fluke which wasn't a very good decision because I have to get out the instruction booklet every time I use that thing it's so comprehensive/ complicated. If I used it everyday I'm sure I wouldn't have to break out the book, however i know very little about electricity...fluke also has or used to a free online school that's very helpful for about every thing electrical .

RE: Dirty Electric

Thank you everybody. Electricity is a mystery to me, the last couple Harbor Freight volt meters (linked to in reply) I got, bit the dust, so I dug deep in my back pocket and got a fluke 117, turns out to be a mistake on my part. I have to look in it's manual every time I use it becauce it's does so much. But has a Hz button but only goes to 50. So much for expensive meters. Then Remembered my "kill a watt" measuring device thing with a hz button. Then after reading replies I'm okay... it either works or it don't work.

Dirty Electric

How would I know or test if a generator was putting out the wrong frequency or "dirty" electricity? (recently changed oil, new plug, new air filter, cleaned out carburetor best I could... wondering if there's anything else I could do to see if this thing running right. Eu2000iHonda...unknown model year.

RE: Escapees worth joining?

We joined because of their ko-op park system. We knew we wanted to go full-time after we retired and became members about ten years before we did retire, and been a member well over 25 years. We winter in the Southwest and live in the northwest. At the time the park we wanted into had a 9 year waiting list. We have met the most interesting people. We would do it all over again if we could.
