RE: Water heater temperature

There are mixing valves available. They are plumbed in between the hot and cold water line and the output is tempered. Most have adjustable output temperature.

RE: Proper outside storage

Ventilation is the key. Roof vent open with cover and a window opened. All I have is slide windows so I made this to keep weather out.

RE: AC air not cold

Take temperature readings at the A/C air return and the closest register (or better at the quick cool register if it has one) if the difference is 15 to 20 degrees it is doing what it should. RVs are notorious for having thin insulation and poor sealing of the duct work so if the above is correct you could be losing cooling ability there.

RE: Dometic A/C Capacitors Smoking! Replacement part?

As long as it is 60/5uf and 370V or above you can use it.

RE: Dometic RM2192 Fridge Problem

It sounds like the burner is not getting the correct air mixture. Does your burner have an adjustable air slot? If so close it slightly if the flame is lifting off the burner or open if there is a lot of yellow in the flame.

RE: Roof A/C Issue

That is a dual capacitor. The 60uf side is for the compressor and the 12.5uf side is for the fan motor.

RE: Favorite way to skip the interstates?

As Gooma said and get state maps. Use US highway routes. In fact many of them are in better condition than some of the Interstates. After you plan your route; make a cheat sheet to follow. Use your GPS of nav. system to keep track of where you are rather than what route to follow.

RE: Q: pump rattle - SHURFLO 4008-101-A65 Revolution

How are you getting pressure on the intake side of the pump? Stuttering on shut down could be leaking check valve or erratic pressure switch. Also how is the voltage at the pump?

RE: Portable air conditioner

The ones with two hoses (air in and out) on the condenser side are the only ones that are any good. Adding A/C capacity will help; but don't overdo it as you need run time to keep the humidity in check.

RE: Louisiana RV Parks - Shreveport and Baton Rouge

I believe I saw in another post that you were heading to Orange Beach Ms, thus you will be wanting to use I12 east at Baton Rouge. Near Hammond is Punkin RV Park just off I12.

RE: Orange Beach, Alabama

If you are traveling on a weekend the I20-I49-I10 is a good choice. If a weekday you may want to look at I20-I55-I10 as I10 has a bottleneck east bound at the bridge at Baton Rouoge and traffic can back up there on weekdays.

RE: Trailer Brakes

You need to confirm that you are getting brake voltage at the truck side of the 7 pin connector. If not the problem is in the truck not the trailer.

RE: Owners manuel

My experience is the same as Tvov. Most of the appliances etc. are covered by their own manuals; many of which are available online on the manufacturers websites.

RE: Arctic Fox 25r interior wall removal

What do you plan to do with the sofa? Since the wall is against the back of the sofa, that will still be in the way. Also the wall is probably the support for the cabinet above the sofa end.

RE: Nashville Attractions

The Lane Auto Motor Museum has a very nice collection of early to modern cars.

RE: Storage RV lot with GFIC breakers

Are the loads that you have operating on a GFCI circuit in the RV? Many times multiple GFCIs in series do not play well together, especially when motor bearing loads are involved.

RE: Aluminum or Plastic aux fuel tank

For an in bed tank. my preference is aluminum.

RE: New Stereo/cs-dvd unit install

First. It appears from your link that when you connect the speakers properly your unit can select between living room or bedroom but not both together. As to replacement fitting existing hole; if the unit you ultimately choose is smaller than the existing you can make a blank off plate.

RE: Rain shield for sliding window on trailer?

I believe that the OP has horizontal sliding windows; but, if you have a vertical slide window this is my solution.

RE: More efficient propane furnace

As mentioned earlier in this tread; a big part of the equation is the lack of insulation in the average RV. The average home has at R values of at least 6 in walls and 13 in the ceiling and HVAC ducts are insulated. Most RVs have little if any insulation in walls and ceiling and none on the undersized duct work.
