RE: Wheel Bearings - re-grease?

My biggest concern would be the tires. OP stated they were installed in 2019; however they could be older. Best indicator is the date code on the tires.

RE: plastic sky light over shower

If even tinted has more light/heat transfer than wanted, put a coat of white water based exterior paint on the top most part of the cover.

RE: Propane tank cover modification

As said cut a hole in the front. If you don't like the idea of an open hole; make a cover with a piece of plastic a little larger than the hole and attach with one pop rivet above the hole. Now you have a little door to swing open and see the indicator.

RE: Mildew

Ventilation is the key. Leave at least one roof vent open and a window at the the opposite end partially open. With good ventilation you shouldn't need anything else. In mold prone areas (like showers) use Mold Armor.

RE: Figuring Mileages

Use your GPS the way you are using Google. I would not use the route laid out by any GPS or other mapping program without doing a review of where it is sending you. Even with a GPS if you enter the whole route to get the overall distance and then later you run it in segments there will be differences in the results.

RE: Natchez to Abbeville

Not sure how far down LA1 you plan to go since you are heading to Abbeville. I suggest that once you get to US190 you go west on it then to Lafayette on I49. The area below Plaquemine was hard hit by hurricane Ida. For eating - pick a local restaurant and you won't go wrong.

RE: Help troubleshooting TT AC airflow

Right. The "dump" vent on the unit itself should be closed except when you want extra airflow in that immediate area.

RE: Help troubleshooting TT AC airflow

That is because you have increased the static pressure in the system to the point that the blower can no longer move the air. Keep all the registers open. If you have an area that has low airflow; first check that the register there is properly sealed to the main duct. In fact it wouldn't hurt to check all of them. Depending on how the duct work is laid out you may be able to add an additional register in the bedroom area.

RE: cleaning 7-pin receiver connector on truck

Fine emery board or if you are near your trailer, plug in and unplug several times.

RE: "Use Both Lanes Until Merge Point"

Traffic circles can work; however, many of the ones being built today are too small to work properly. I've even seen some so small that to get thru them with a trailer you jump the inner curb.

RE: Replacement exterior storage latches longer than 1 1/8"?

A good hardware or big box building supply store will have a selection of latches with various barrel lengths.

RE: Big Lagoon State Park FL campground?

To the best of my knowledge all their parks are on their system. Since many states are switching reservation systems I find it best to go thru a state's state park website rather than the reservation system they have used in the past.

RE: Florida to Arizona Trip

I consider 300 mils per day plenty. Also on a trip like that, if going strait thru, I stop for a day every second day. In reality for your origin and destination I would break the trip up into multiple legs with multi day stops, as between those places there are many things to see and do along the way.

RE: Help! A/C only works when below 100°

Ditto of Lou. Make sure the the condenser coil is clean.

RE: Dometic AC

Is the temperature in the TT actually above the thermostat set point or are you going by how it feels? If it has not run for a while and you are starting to get active; it may feel warmer than it actually is.

RE: Portable gas detector

Most LP detectors will not shut the LP system off. They will only warn you of its presence.

RE: Ceiling AC Grilles - Need Covers

Are you looking for something to replace the grill portion of the register or something to block it? If it is to block it; you DON'T want to do that. The A/C needs a certain airflow thru the system to work properly.

RE: Route from Phoenix to Florida

I-10 is the most direct and San Antonio and Houston are not a problem if you avoid rush hour. It does have a number of construction areas between Beaumont TX and Lake Charles LA and west of Lafayette La that can get backed up. Also east bound at Baton Rouge is best done on the weekend because of the single lane area at the Mississippi river bridge. I-20 is still extremely rough in the Shreveport - Bossier city area.

RE: TX-146 to Avoid Houston

My preference is similar to Doug,s; however, I leave I-10 at Orange and take TX82 and TX73 to Winnie to avoid the construction mess between Orange and Beaumont. Also be aware there is construction east of Lafayette and west of Lake Charles.

RE: Cost of RVing

If we are looking at the cost of RV travel; we need to also compare cost of of hotels and 3 restaurant meals a day in the same places. That area that has $50 RV sites probably also has $150 motel rooms.
