RE: New F350 owner seeks TC information

Northstar has a few hardwall offerings for SB trucks. They make a good product. We are happy with ours (Arrow Long Bed version).
You might also look at Bundutec - they come with a Truma furnace/water heater. They will also do a lot of individual customizing for you.

Another guy here recommends Northstar. We'll definitely consider them for the incoming F350 project. We'll just finish installing the bumpers and winch, plus the winter tires and wheels packages on the current Silverado project.

RE: What did you do to your Camper Today?

Sealed up some gaps in my roof A/C which I show in this video
Good job! Reminds me to work on my uncle's camper AC leaks after we finished installing the suspension from 4Wheelonline onto the current Wrangler project.

RE: Death Valley NP

If you go through Baker, CA & head up to Shoshone, CA there is a Wonderful little campground with a volcanic heated swimming pool. In Shoshone there is 1 motel, 1 gas station mini mart 1 restaurant... The fuel is definitely costly in Shoshone... Also camping in Tecopa about 12 miles South of Shoshone...
My buddy has been on there once. He highly recommends the volcanic swimming pools.

RE: Travel trailer necessities

The most important necessity is a pad of paper & pencil to write down the necessity as you find out what you need. For the first few trips be sure to camp near a Lowes & a Walmart.
Pink flamingoes are not a necessity. This is a necessity. First setup & last taken down at the campsite.

Pink flamingoes and alike are good interactive things for kids as well.

RE: Gray tank cleaner

I used the Flush King to back flush the gray tank system. Always pulled things out of that tank without adding anything to the system. have a clear down spout to let me see what was coming out. Did it about 2-3 times a year.
Reminds me to work on uncle's gray tank. We Will work on it after we finished installing the shocks from 4Wheelonline onto the Wrangler JK project. The gray tank starts to smell bad after a couple of years. Will try Flush King.

RE: Undercarriage Storage

Have you seen these Lippert underchassis storage systems?
Might be worth a look instead of re-inventing the wheel. :W

That one is a great option! Nice

RE: Anyone try Road Armor suspension system?

I'm with bedpan on this. When I think Lippert, I think minimal standard, and oftentimes not quite minimal. Personally I've seen a lot more Morryde systems and heard a lot more about it. If the Lippert product was superior at a better price point, I'd have to imagine manufacturers would prefer to save money and use it and more people would have bought, installed and reviewed them.
Who knows, maybe they are a diamond in the rough and so new that they don't have many reviews. Given LCI's track record, I would be surprised though.
Sounds like Morryde is the better choice. We'll be working on uncle's trailer soon after we finished installing the shocks and toyo open country mt tires on the Wrangler. We'll evaluate if the Morryde 4000 would worth it.

RE: Problems unique to Toy Haulers

Fresh water: get a model that has a fresh water dump valve. Or install one. Otherwise, you have to empty thru the sink, into a gray tank, then out the pooper pipe.
Gas tank / station: Ensure your gas station / generator fuel pickup is near the bottom of the tank. Otherwise, one or the other will run out.
Definitely prefer one with fresh water. A neighbor had a some hard time with water access on their last TH.

RE: Swapping out the Water Pump

Under the shower pan?
Behind the toilet?
Behind the fridge?
What were those manufactures thinking?
Apparently not thinking.
And that's how deep the shops and dealers charge replacing the pump.
