RE: Just a pic of interest

WDH are not made for that length of extended hitch. People familiar with the Pullrite travel trailer hitch may recall they offered an extended drawbar for use with truck campers. I only saw the picture on the website, but recall it to be around 48".

RE: AC air not cold

The problem with the "20° rule" is that it accounts for only the sensible heat load while ignoring the latent heat load. I wonder how many air conditioners have been replaced due to failing to achieve 20° temp drop? I suspect the air conditioner salesmen and manufacturers do not mind.

RE: Traveling with Propane on

My trailer has a tag behind the propane bottles stating that "container shutoff valves shall be closed during transit".

RE: Butt splice connector to join 10 gauge to 12 gauge wire?

Looks like they lost or tossed my last note so I'll try again. After 55 years as an electrician, making thousands of joints from 12 volts to 13,800 volts I can say I never soldered a joint or termination. I am reasonably sure all those plants, commercial buildings and homes are still there and likely have had zero issues in my joints and terms. With only 40 years experience under my belt, I have found at least a dozen failed mechanical electrical connections. Most from electricians. One from the electric utility.

RE: Propane question

Several people have lamented the efficiency of rv furnaces, but have provided no documentation to support their claim. This is understandable since rv furnace manufacturers seem to not offer efficiency documentation. I found an atwood spec sheet from '08 that listed input btu at 12000 and output at 9160 which works out to 76%.

RE: AC doesn't keep up with heat

I find summer design temps of 91 at Kamloops and 89 at Trail. Since you are at 94 and maintain 76 indoor, my conclusion is your AC is sized about right. Of course there is also the latent heat load. Are you monitoring indoor relative humidity?
